I have a one of these love distillers. I like it and use it a lot.
Only thing I found is I get better Quality if I only fill it up with 3
quarts instead of 4.
I think when I fill it up the level is too close to the condenser unit
on top and some minerals get through.
I clean it with Vinegar and also just periodically let it boil for a
while, pull plug let it cool and pour out water.
This helps keep minerals from building up so bad in bottom boiler.

Coconut oil is the most stable oil, I've read, and keeps 2-3 years.
Your bottle may say. I lost mine in boxes and found it after a year or

Re: CS>Other colloidal metals

2008-01-31 Thread Clayton Family
Thanks for the info. Quite a number of years ago, there used to be
zinc lids for canning jars. They stopped making them though, when it
became apparent that some people were being poisoned by them. I have a
few I got from one of the neighbor's garage sales years ago, and she
gave me the low down on it. I use them as lids for herb jars, which I
do not use daily. Since I have done that, I have not needed to take
zinc to get rid of those pesky white spots on my nails, which can be
one symptom of zinc deficiency. It seems like I need a little more zinc
than I was getting from my diet.

Do you know the symptoms for too much zinc? My son has gotten into
metalworking in various forms- first making chain mail from galvanized
wire (zinc), then blacksmithing in good weather, now he is in his 2nd
year at the watchmaking school, where I think they tool their own metal
tools, among other things. He loves metal.

RE: CS>A health question

2008-01-31 Thread Dan Nave
Fine silver is much softer than sterling silver. It is mostly used for
such things as bezels for mounting stones, etc, where the silver needs
to be formed around the stone to hold it, etc. It is softer and
therefore more malleable. Probably it wears out too fast if the whole
piece is made out of fine silver. Also, there is the cost factor.
