Re: CS>Kidney Stones...Prevention???

Hi Neville,

There is an odd thing about tea...I have found out that the tea plant is
a great concentrator of fluoride, one of the best...probably has nothing
to do with kidney stones, but I have stopped drinking it because of the
impact of fluoride on iodine levels.

I have been doing high dosages of iodine supplementation and found that
when I drank tea, it made me feel crappy:)

Maybe someone else can make the connection:)

Regards,

Craig

OK Craig, no worries, the reason I asked is cos my father suffered with
this problem from when he was 17 til after retirement and a specialist
told him on one occasion that of all the people he sees regarding kidney
stones the majority had been tea drinkers.
His observations over many years treating patients for stones indicated
that tea drinkers appeared get stones more than coffee drinkers. The
old man was however a fairly good tea drinker for most of his life (as I
am with coffee ).
He also assured him that he was not drawing any conclusions from his
observations but he could not ignore the percentages of tea drinkers as
opposed to coffee drinkers and hypothesised that perhaps tea drinkers
may be more susceptible to this problem.

Cheers

Hi Craig.  The existing ones can be dissolved by taking Magnesium Oxide
Gluconate (133 mgs.) tablets -- 6 per day until stones pass.  The magnesium
softens them so that they are not painful to pass.  Afterwards, he should stay
on two tablets per day as a preventative.  MA

We have a black lab that has had a problem with her skin itching and hair loss
on her hind end. It was terrible for a while until I discovered she is
allergic to oats. How I found out was I was trying to find some southing
shampoo and bought an oat based shampoo to use on her. She swelled and ended
up having to have Benadryl. We changed her food, tried raw but she wouldn't
eat it. We finally ended up buying Iams ProActive that doesn't have oats in
the formula.

Her hair started growing back in a little but still itched. We started giving
her two drops of Lugols in her feed once daily and the skin has healed and hair
has grown back. She still itches now and then but nothing like before. When
she does itch we put some cs in an applicator bottle and work it into the skin
and the itching and heat goes away. She gets baths twice a week.

Re: CS>Brook NAC/DMSO Eye Health Research Report

2009-07-16 Thread sol

I have been using an NAC (n-acetyl carnosine) eye drop since I was
diagnosed with cataracts last Aug. and told I was going to need
cataract surgery in approx 1 year or less.
I also used eyedrops of CS, MSM, and DMSO, and took a lutein and
bilberry supplement and reduced my intake of dairy (particularly milk).
Nothing like trying everything at once.but I felt the shotgun
approach was necessary.
I had a new eye exam in June and have no cataracts now, that is, no
clouding of the lens of either eye, this time was told I am 5 to
perhaps even 10 years away from cataract surgery. There is still some
yellowing of the lens in both eyes, which is still considered early
stage cataract, but though my vision still isn't great for unknown
reasons, I no longer feel like I need to "look around" a fuzzy spot to
see.  I am continuing the eye drops, and lutein/bilberry and reduction
of dairy, and hoping the yellowing will also reverse.
I have another eye exam later this month, with a different eye doctor,
so hope to find out why vision is still blurry.

positive results we have achieved in some limited, but definitive,
investigationsI am moved to call two supporting substances to the
attention of list members.

From among a number of
candidates addressed in searching for the most economical/effective
modalities for attenuating/preventing cataracts.we achieved our
best---and most rapid success using NAC (n-acetyl L-carnosine)..for
cataract presentations. This substance, in mild solution, (amended with
low-percentage DMSO [ 5%] by volume)...effected very powerful
beneficial influence upon the cross-linked proteins which cause the
clouding of the normally clear tissue fields (i.e. cataracts). This
simple protocol yielded (in our view) splendid, non-invasive,
results.for literallypennies. Very positive benefits were
achieved in ALL of the early-onset presentations and sufficient
improvement in 80% of the ADVANCED PRESENTATIONS.to avoid or
postpone surgical interventions.

But it does depend on the cause of the mange, mange mites will not be

"mange" as in ringworm CS/DMSO is said to be very effective. I don't
have personal experience with ringworm or mange though. One tip I have
read is to be sure to saturate the fur 1/4 inch outside/around the bald

Company sells you electricity by the kilowatt; the average kilowatt cost is
about 8-10 cents. Since the distiller will use three kilowatt hours to make
a gallon of water the cost is about 24 cents per gallon. That's a whole lot
cheaper than bottled water. http://arrowheadcutlery.com/healthcraft/faq.htm

mineral in your Distilled water before you  use it. ( a Hanna tester is not too
expensive) google it,
I get mine at Walgreens Drug, last year they were high in dissolved solids, and
most of us quit them & wrote the co. letters, they changed mgf. and its back to
between 1.5 and 3,5 ppm. on TDS tester.  $65 cents is pretty cheap for a gallon
of Colloidal Silver now days.

Try 68 cents a gallon sometimes.

No way electricity would cost that much to distill water !!  [..not like I know
what it costs in the UKreally?  ]
Have you tried battery water from the auto parts store?

it takes about 3 kilowatt hours to make a gallon of distilled water. A kilowatt
= 1000 watts, a kilowatt hour is 1000 watts per hour. The power company sells
you electricity by the kilowatt; the average kilowatt cost is about 8-10 cents.
Since the distiller will use three kilowatt hours to make a gallon of water the
cost is about 24 cents per gallon. That's a whole lot cheaper than bottled
water. http://arrowheadcutlery.com/healthcraft/faq.htm

Hey Mary,

Personally, I don't see why it wouldn't work nor that it would be harmful...
but I'm no expert by a long shot and would hate to give wrong advice!

Hopefully someone else can provide a definite answer to your question.

Unfortunately rain water can pick up a lot of trash on the way down. It

pollution, then it can absorb SO3 making sulfuric acid (acid rain), as
well as dust, pollen and other airborne particulate matter. If there is
lightning, then it will absorb the oxides of nitrogen producing nitric
and nitrous acids. If you are going to use rainwater, then it is best
to wait until it has rained a while, so the particulate and pollution
will be washed out of the air, and try to do with when the rain is
heavy, but there is little or no lightning. Then boil it to remove the CO2.

Dee,
The grocers carry distilled for household purposes such as use in
electric irons.
It prevents mineral buildup and lengths the iron's life.

What do folks in UK use?

  More specifically "steam irons"
Using tap water will eventually clog the steam nozzles and chamber with
mineral deposits as the *iron* distills the water

Hey Orrilia,

All I use this for is general eye health.  If my eyes are itchy/irritated, or if a stye is coming on or has already come up, or for conjunctivitis, I will put drops in my eyes several times throughout the day.  Normally my eyes are fine the next day.  But for styes and conjunctivitis, I will continue to use the drops for 3 or 4 days just to be sure I've gotten rid of all the infection.

I don't have cataracts, so I can't speak to how well it works for that, but I've read of others using DMSO + CS and/or mixed with other supplements as a carrier.  For instance, Brooks Bradley just posted a protocol using DMSO with NAC (n-acetyl L-carnosine) for cataracts.

Hope this helps!
Ruth

Homeopathic remedy rhus tox will clear it up quickly, but needs to be taken
with no caffeine for a couple days to be most effective. Can also, taken early
in the spring for a couple weeks, just
one tablet (rather than regular dosing) daily, help you develop an
immunity. You can also do this by actually using disposable gloves and a
tweezers to pluck a tiny new leaf from a poison ivy plant,
stuff it in an empty gelatine capsule and swallow it - once a day for a couple
weeks. Immunity will last about a year doing this.
