Re: CS>Magnesium deficiency...

2010-06-28 Thread needling around

Hi Mike,
You might want to look into Mag-Tabs SR from Niche Labs (there is another
product by the same name). It is a sustained release magnesium lactate
tablet. Also a liposomal Vit C supplement which will give you more vit C
for less bowel tolerance... considering the absorption rate.

Hope you are all better real soon.

Subject: CS>Magnesium deficiency...

Hi folks,

The long-timers know that I have been battling with the consequences of
mercury toxicity after having a dozen amalgam fillings placed in my
mouth over a period of 30 years, and then removed in June of 2006.

Up until a couple of weeks ago, I was following three separate oral
supplement protocols for iodine, digestive support, and a series of
herbal and non-pharmaceutical antifungals to fight yeast overgrowth,
plus a smattering of other supplements.

It was a LOT of pills to take every day, all day, and of the three
protocols, the antifungals were showing the least results -- as in
none. So, I basically stopped everything except the digestive
supplement while I reassess and decide what to do next.

Well, in the process I discovered what a bad magnesium deficiency feels
like!

Over a week ago, I started to get a sore right shoulder, right about on
the top front area of the rotator cuff. It got gradually worse each
day, until it became quite painful to raise my arm even to shoulder
height. Over the last day or two, it worsened, spreading down my arm to
the elbow and even the wrist.

By last night the pain and soreness was constant and I barely slept. I
couldn't find a comfortable position for my arm and shoulder no matter
how I tried.

My other arm had also started to exhibit the beginning signs of the
same thing, and one of my knees even started to give me twinges as
well! Time to do something!

Just a few weeks ago I'd suggested my wife start taking magnesium for
her sore shoulder, elbow (bell ringing injury!) and plantar fasciitis,
based on things I'd read here on the list about it's benefits for
connective tissue health. This continues the longstanding tradition of
people here bringing up useful subjects just when I seem to need to
hear about them!

So this morning I dig out her bottle of Magnesium Citrate and the
carton of Emergen-C! After six capsules of the former and eight packets
of the latter, spread throughout the day, and definitely hitting the
bowel tolerance level already, I am pleased to report that my pain this
evening is much reduced.

I should be able to sleep much better tonight.

There are other supplements I need to start or restart, which I'm still
evaluating, but it's obvious that magnesium is on the short list. I'll
probably mix up some more "magnesium oil" (saturated solution of
magnesium chloride in water) and get back into using that for
transdermal absorption as well.

So, thanks for last month's discussion of magnesium, folks!

Be well,

Mike D.

Interesting. I read a book about a party that got stranded over 2
winters trying to get to the Alaskan gold rush back before The War
without going over US land and had a fatality from lack of vitamin C.
If they only knew.

Currants have a lot of vitamin C. They are quite easy to grow too.
Lots of fruit grows, even in the north, if you know what to plant or
what to forage.

Organic Solutions
Volume 4 Issue 4
VITAMIN C

OK! OK! OK! So you just found out that almost all of the Vitamin
Boys are making their Vitamin-C from Genetically Engineered Corn.
What you are about to read is highly confidential and there’s not one
Giant Pharmaceutical Company that wants you to see this data.

What! You exclaim. How am I supposed to get enough Vitamin C into my
family if I don't buy store bought supplements???

Answer: You make your own!!! ;o)))

This secret, even the Health Food Stores don't want you know. You can
make your very own Vitamin C supplement that is 10 times better than
anything you could buy in a
store at NO EXTRA COST TO YOU! YES! IT'S FREE!!!

Does it have a 1,000 Mg of Vitamin C per dosage? NOPE! Does it have
the US RDA amount per dosage? No way Jose! Has it been approved by
the FDA? Absolutely Not!
Well - what does it have then Doc???

It has live enzymes that allow the Vitamin C to be 100% assimilated
into your body. It has its own natural source of Rutin, Hesperidin,
and Bioflavonoids.
It's easily acquired and easy to make and even tastes absolutely awesome!

C'mon Doc! Knock off the suspense and tell one and all what this
miracle source is!

--

It's Orange & Lemon Peels!
That's right. Just plain ordinary Orange or Lemon peels left over
from the ORGANIC Oranges and Lemons you usually buy at the store will
do the trick. Save all of your peels
after you eat the inside of the fruit and cut them into thin strips.
Place on a plate on your dining room table and let dry at room
temperature for a couple of days until dry and
crisp. Break up into smaller pieces and mix with your favorite tea
(makes the tea taste great, but this approach will destroy the enzymes
because of the heat). Better yet, place
the peel strips into your coffee grinder and grind into a powder
(won't hurt the enzymes) and use to mix with your early morning drink.
One rounded teaspoon will supply you with
more Organic Vitamin-C Complex, Rutin, Hesperidin, & Bioflavonoids
than your body needs for the day regardless of your size. A rounded
teaspoon of fresh homemade citrus
peel powder mixed in your blender with some fresh organic apple juice
tastes awesome. Get even more creative and add some of your favorite
fruit to the mixture.

They are too cheap to buy - just a couple of pieces of wire fixed to a 6 v
battery.
The place to find out about them is

  http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/microelectricitygermkiller/

There are several different models now, but the original and basic is just
damp cloth at the end of two pieces of wire, one fixed to the negative
terminal, the other to the positive, and the part of the body you are treating
at the other end of the wires so that the current passes through, killing germs
on the way.

It is not advised to use any higher current than 6v.

brush daily with EIS, H2O2, MSM, Peppermint Oil, and Xylitol. It turned out the
tooth had a root canal done years ago but it had two roots. The Dentist said
that was the second time he has seen a front tooth with two roots. The previous

still doing its job preventing tooth problems. My back teeth have four roots.

2010-06-28 Thread Rowena
They are too cheap to buy - just a couple of pieces of wire fixed to a
6 v battery.

The place to find out about them is

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/microelectricitygermkiller/

There are several different models now, but the original and basic is
just damp cloth at the end of two pieces of wire, one fixed to the
negative terminal, the other to the positive, and the part of the body
you are treating at the other end of the wires so that the current
passes through, killing germs on the way.

It is not advised to use any higher current than 6v.

Don't worry. Get yourself a baby Godzilla (or make your

device sends a small (3 - 6 volt) DC current thru the tooth and
root killing the germs. Go to microelectricitygermkiller group on
Yahoo for all the info. Very easy to use, very inexpensive and
worth it's weight in gold. I've use this successfully several
times. Good luck.

After many years with no cavities the Dentist said I needed a
root canal on my front tooth. I was shocked that EIS allowed
that to happen. I brush daily with EIS, H2O2, MSM, Peppermint
Oil, and Xylitol. It turned out the tooth had a root canal
done years ago but it had two roots. The Dentist said that was
the second time he has seen a front tooth with two roots. The
previous Dentist in Los Algodones, Mexico did not see the
second root. I guess EIS is still doing its job preventing
tooth problems. My back teeth have four roots.

CS>List Outage... progress?

2010-06-28 Thread M. G. Devour
Hi folks,

Not to get anyone's hopes up too high, but about 20 minutes past noon
Eastern time my mail client, which was polling the servers every few
minutes, tossed an error that usually indicates the server has
disappeared. This would be just about right for the main support person
to arrive (or log in remotely) at 9am their time, discover the outage
and send a reset command to the relevant servers.

Since then, messages have been trickling in a few at a time as the
upstream backlog starts to clear.

Oops! The first list message just came in, from Dee, and is dated the
26th... so that's a good sign.

Y'all will see things develop as I do.

Here's hoping and keep your fingers crossed.

Peace,

CS>Loose more fat, increase growth hormone with less exercise - Mercola

2010-06-28 Thread Dan Nave
Dr. Mercola's Comments:
The science of exercise has come a long way over the past decades.
We're constantly discovering new information and details about how
exercise creates the health benefits we typically associate with it,
and more importantly, how we can exercise more efficiently and
effectively to maximize results.
In this article, I will discuss an uncommon exercise technique that
can make a dramatic difference in your health, and why.
But first, the study summarized above essentially confirms what I've
been stating for years: that exercise is a key player for controlling
your blood sugar and normalizing your insulin levels.
I actually view exercise as a drug with regard to being properly
prescribed and having proper dosage, and it's one that you can readily
substitute for some of the most common drugs used today for things
like diabetes, heart disease and depression.  All of these conditions
will improve with exercise and with the help of an experienced natural
health care clinician.
Nearly one in four people in the US have type 2 diabetes or
pre-diabetes and it is my experience that most of them could be
reversed with the appropriate diet and exercise regimen -- exercise
being the crucial key.
How Exercise Changes Your Biochemistry
In this study, the researchers measured the biochemical changes that
occur during exercise, and found alterations in more than 20 different
metabolites. Some of these compounds help you burn calories and fat,
while others help stabilize your blood sugar, among other things.
Essentially, being of a healthy weight and exercising regularly
creates a healthy feedback loop that optimizes and helps maintain
healthy glucose and insulin levels through optimization of insulin
receptor sensitivity.
And as I've explained on countless occasions, normalizing your insulin
levels is the most important factor for optimizing your overall health
and preventing disease of all kinds, from diabetes, to heart disease,
to cancer, and everything in between.
It runs neck and neck with vitamin D as the two most important
physical elements that you can do to improve your health.
This is also good news for those who are out of shape or overweight,
because although it may take a little longer for you to correct your
biochemistry, this same positive feedback loop will continue to create
ever increasing health benefits as you persist and get fitter and
leaner.
Best of all, just 10 minutes of BRISK exercise led to beneficial
biochemical changes that were still measurable an hour later. And this
is where what I have to say next comes into play.
Increase Your Exercise Benefits by Ditching Traditional Aerobic Cardio
Walk into any gym and you'll see most of the people crowding around
the aerobics equipment, but there's actually a way to exercise that is
FAR more effective than aerobic exercises like walking or running on a
treadmill or elliptical machine for an hour, and it's called peak
fitness.
Later, I will review all the types of exercise needed for a truly
comprehensive routine, but first I want to explain just why peak
fitness is so essential for your health, and how you can benefit from
this particular style of training in ways you cannot get from ANY
other type of exercise.
I've been trying this out for a several months now and in the first
three months alone I dropped five percent body fat without ever
touching a treadmill.
But boosting fat burning is just the beginning.
The NEW Peak Fitness Program
Dr. Al Sears first introduced me to his PACE concept but I always
found his material to general and non specific and no information on
the use of this exercise for growth hormone. I really started to
understand this when I met Phil Campbell at a fitness camp earlier
this year in Mexico. He wrote the book Ready Set Go which details how
these exercises for super fast muscle fibers can increase growth
hormone.
So that is the history and what we sought to do is to provide the
material in a digestible format, just like we do with the medical
news, to provide you with a simple to comprehend guide that can
explode you into fitness and health. In addition the peak cardio
exercises promoted by Sears and Campbell, we are seeking to promote a
holistic approach to exercise.
Peak fitness is a term I am coining to represent a comprehensive
exercise program that includes far more than typical cardio training.
The major change is that once or twice a week you do peak exercises,
in which you raise your heart rate up to your anaerobic threshold for
20 to 30 seconds, and then you recover for 90 seconds.
You would repeat this cycle for a total of eight repetitions. These
cycles are preceded by a three minute warm up and two minute cool down
so the total time investment is about 20 minutes.
It has been my personal experience that using this approach is far
more effective than traditional cardio for a number of reasons that I
will describe below. I was able to use this to help me lose over ten
pounds of body fat and get my
