Fibro insomnia is often due to a thiamine deficiency.  I read it and it works
like a charm for me.  You can also warm your feet by putting short grain rice
in a tube sock and putting it in a microwave.  Then put it in your bed.

Hi Lena,
Yes, anytime I find my hands or feet freezing cold - I can almost never go to
sleep. So I have to make sure I warm them up. Sometimes I have to take a hot
magnesium mineral bath and then finally it will coax my tensed alert body to
feel sleepy. Having fibromyalgia, Hashimoto's --- we're easily prone to
insomina (hormonal upheavals), infections, colds, flus, etc.
Also another highly recommended immune protector is DEL IMMUNE V. I swear it
works. Every time I skip it, I get the sniffles. It was tested on American
soldiers when they were stationed in middle East with a lot of dust, fumes, and
warring chemicals. The half of group of soldiers who took Del Immune daily were
healthy as horses. The other half that took a placebo, most of them got sick.
That research pushed me to succumb and buy it (I'm extremely skeptical as I've
tried A to Z)... lo and behold, it worked! Next month I have to buy a new
refill for myself. Too bad health insurance don't pay for it. Grrr

Hope you get your much needed sleep!
Kindly,
RaVen

Thanks, I'll check the thiamine supplement... I can tell if I skip my B
complex, I'm out. Since I don't like using microwave nor have one, so I
can't heat things up.

I don't like to microwave either but I do for the hotpacks.
You could try putting it in a warm oven for a short time.  I don't know how
that would work but it might be worth a try.

Hi André,
CS definitely helped! Especially when I nebulized it for my lungs. Different
things work together for recovery. I resumed taking daily home-made kefir, and
my bowels stabilized, while the nebulizing helped loosen the congestion in my
lungs. Last night, except for 2 small interruptions of coughing, I slept
through the whole night and even though I feel pretty shaky today and I've lost
6 lbs, my temp is my Lyme normal again, I think I'[m on my way back to being
human.

Be well,

Re: CS>Nebulizing with CS

2013-09-24 Thread Lena Guyot
Hi PT,
I think I'll have to write a detailed primer, as there are so many fiddly bits
that require careful attention. This has crossed my mind, should I ever be
hospitalized, as well. Being a functioning chronic Lymie is a full-time
occupation. It's kind of like teaching someone to sew. It's not rocket science,
but tedious and exacting.

This works both ways. My husband can show me how to correct a computer problem,
and it's out of my head completely a day later. Only when I take detailed notes
can I painstakingly do what comes so easily to him. Our skills complement each
other, but our limitations do as well.

Also, he's been working very very hard taking advantage of the good September
weather to catch up on winter-readying things for the house and RV, that I
would normally have been working on as well. When he's sick, he just curls into
a ball, and wants nothing, no food, no fuss, only to be left alone, so that's
what he thinks I need when I'm sick.

If I ask for anything when I'm off my feet, he'll gladly provide it, but is
often simply not around. As a mother of two, I've learned to be a nurse to
others while sick myself, and then, to be my own nurse. I found that in these
last two weeks, this kept my lying-prone aches and pains from accumulating, and
probably also helped mobilize my lungs.

Be well,
Léna
