Oh yes it does - which is one of the reasons I take it.  Have you tried 
low-dose Naltrexone for Hashimotos? I have read of people having really good 
results with this.  It is not the ordinary Naltrexone it is the low dose

Hi Dee,
Yes, I tried low-dose Naltrexone for Hashimoto's for a month and 
disappointedly, my body reacted negatively to it. I'm real sensitive to 
synthetic drugs apparently.

Hi there;
I drop two drops of Lugol’s Solution on my thigh in the morning. Bypasses 
sensitive guts. If it disappears in 4 hours, my body needed it badly. In 8 
hours, still absorbed, but I can back off a day if I wish. It always gets 
absorbed. I’ve tried many things - this was cheapest and easiest.

You can buy Lugol’s usually under $15 Canadian, in any compounding pharmacy. 
And likely order it online at Iherb (I haven’t checked). Took it internally for 
years, but drops on skin is much, much easier to regulate.
