CS>Fwd: Bio-Terrorism

2001-09-17 Thread D.W. Coombs

To: Y'ALL
From: "D.W. Coombs"
Subject: Bio-Terrorism

Hi All, At this terribly tragic time , I think it wise and prudent to
consider the increasing possibility of bio-terrorism. Someone close to
us, who is in "Emergency Management" mentioned his concern regarding the
water supplies. He said this early on in the discoveries of the
disasters. My suggestion is: We brush up and post what we know and have
a concerted discussion regarding what we can do to protect our loved
ones in the event of "the next step".God Bless America . God
Helps Those That Help Themselves. LC

P.S. What I've got in mind is not a debate about whether a biological
attack might happen; rather, if it happens what can we do to save
ourselves and those around us. I've read that the most likely agents are
anthrax and mycoplasma. What can ordinary citizens do to deal with these?

CS>Pinkeye

2001-08-29 Thread D.W. Coombs
Hi All, My kid has the Pinkeye. Been doing the silver several times a
day, now it has spread to the other eye !! Know what the public school
does with this? They send them home until they have a doctor's note which
says it's okay for them to come back. This translates to: A. Kid gets
taken to Dr. B. Dr. says: "Ah, it's pinkeye, here's this antibiotic
prescription and here's your note". C. You pay at the window, drive the
kid back to school with the note and the still active case of pinkeye so
said kid can pass it on to others and their parents then do the
same. D. You then say a few words { not always very nice words } over
the prescription , and toss it in the trash. E. You just paid good
for a note saying it's okay for your kid to go back to class because
the doctor can tell from across the desk that it is not contagious, even
though you Damn Well know [ and so does the Dr.] that it is 'cause your
other kid or kids get it to [ and a couple of their close
friends]. Ratss!!! Big Greasy One!!! What else can I do to help the
silver along?? BTW said kid can't just use the silver on herself every
hour or so at school because, of course, it has to be a" prescription
from an M.D."and has to be doled out each time by the gestapo-like,
M.D. worshipping school nurse. [ I know, I know I should just home
school instead of griping about the system ] But, I put them in last year,
said kid is now in 7th grade. Help, I hate doing antibiotics!!! Any
ideas on kicking the pinkeye before it just runs it's little
course. Help!!! LC
