Hi Christian, I experienced the same thing, and was on Synthroid until two years ago, when I started on Armour (spelling), a natural thyroid supplement. Then I saw a holistic Dr. who put a drop of iodine on my arm and told me to wait 8hrs and see if the dot disappeared. If it did, and it did, to start putting a drop on my arm every day. It's been 6 months and I stopped using the pills 3 months ago. My thyroid gland doesn't have that pressure feeling it had for years. Have your friend give it a try. Oral antibiotics will not cross into the brain to rid someone of Lyme disease due to this barrier. I know this to be a fact, after 10 months of 800mg a day, of amoxicillen (spelling?).
