Hi, all, Dentist could not get into her mouth, and no way will she take a bit. She found melanomas in the mouth, and I cried. What exactly is the protocol for treatment, and please also disclose side effects to watch for, contraindications, and so on. Hi, Cyndi, It is not cancer - they're benign melanomas, as much as we can tell. Vet is coming to examine and sedate her for dental floating. she came to us this way in may 2009, when I rescued her. She is doing well, in recovery for founder, is rideable, etc, and feet are growing out nicely - she is on a strict diet plan by Dr. Eleanor Kellon, a nutritionist and a natural trimmer are all caring for her :) i will post to let anyone know the progresssion.
