Take magnesium citrate capsules.

It's missing from our depleted soil and water.

Since nearly everyone is deficient in magnesium (which is required
for muscle contraction and relaxation) supplementing with this nutrient may
be helpful. From what I have read, it usually results in the disappearance
of the problem. And if we are deficient in one mineral, we usually are
deficient in others. Best wishes, pj

Re: CSHello and question..

I'm with Gene. I think MSM (internally) might be great for cataract
prevention, but once you have them . . . not so much.

Cataract surgery is 30 min nap in outpatient surgical center. Cake. I did
mine at 43.

  Hi, Melody.

I have tried CS and all the other things that I have read about for
cataracts and finally decided that the only answer was surgery. I am 80,
almost 81, and had surgery at 77. It was simple, and Medicare paid for most
of it. You are not quite at Medicare age, but you may want to wait. Both my
wife and I have had the surgery, and we both really like the results.

The only recommendation is to find a good doctor that does lots of
cataract surgerys so they know what they are doing.

Re: CSCS Bar Soap

2013-01-27 Thread Rachel Hawkridge
As a soapmaker, I don't think this is possible or realistic. Lye is
corrosive and will ruin the CS.

This is pure silver chloride. Rinse the silver chloride with water. To
the silver chloride add Red Devil brand drain cleaner (lye) until all the
silver the silver chloride add Red Devil brand drain cleaner (lye) until
all the silver chloride has turned black. Rinse with water. Add Karo syrup
(dextrose) chloride has turned black. Rinse with water. Add Karo syrup
(dextrose) until all the black material (silver oxide) turns to pure
silver.

This is from instruction for refining silver - so what you would end up
with is silver oxide flakes in soap, and probably gummy soap, at that.

Adding CS to melt pour is also a problem- can't add much liquid anything
to it.

If you want CS on skin, spray directly or add to lotion.

I'm not sure that CS is silver chloride, but that seems likely, and in any
case, the silver WILL BE oxidized.

Adding CS as part of the water phase of lotion should be safe and effective.

Why do you want CS soap? Not sure that the silver would be absorbed- would
be washed off. And soap kills most bacteria and fungus on skin- virus are
either washed off or killed by friction.

If I were going to do something with CS on skin, I'd do a neem/tea tree
soap, and CS in a NaPCA/aloe solution sprayed on after. (That's an
awesome moisturiser.)

Neem reeks, so mint to scent?

Let us know what you find?

Re: CSDill pickle juice 4 colds Try a Hot Toddy BS Ep Salts bath

2012-12-29 Thread Rachel Hawkridge
Dill pickles have one or the other - probiotics (ferment) or vinegar, but
not both. Vinegar is used in longterm storage, pantry pickles. If it MUST
be refrigerated, it's a ferment, with live bacteria.

If pantry safe, it's vinegar.

And the vinegar is killed by canning.

Might be a combination of vinegar and the probiotics in the juice.

Do you think that might be something to do with vinegar Lois? I must say
that I haven’t had a cold for about seven or even eight years – but this

Re: CSBacking Soda

2012-12-26 Thread Rachel Hawkridge
It's some baking POWDER that contains an aluminum compound, NOT SODA.
Check the labels - no reason to ask a chemist. Chemists don't bake, at
least from a chemist viewpoint. I do.

Baking soda is a mineral compound (basically) Powder is a compound that
contains an acid, which makes it rise. Soda is base, and requires acid to
produce the gas required to rise. You usally use a soured/fermented milk
or straight acid with soda, nothing else is required with powder.

Please stop promoting wrong information, and misleading others? :o)

   Hi,

You'd want to avoid the no-name brands that you can get at dollar stores
and discount locations as some of those have aluminum in them. Arm
Hammer, contrary to specious rumors and unfounded assumptions, is totally
safe and has absolutely no aluminum content as tested and proven by my son,
who is a chemist. Bob's Red Mill (sp?) is also safe but tends to be much
more expensive, like most his products.

Ya know, baking soda is a mineral - doesn' go stale, it's food grade, etc.
I usually buy Arm Hammer to brush teefs. Some cheap brands or more
abrasive, but it all dissolves and neutralizes the same.

CSVitamin D sunshine conversion

2012-12-13 Thread Rachel Hawkridge
mborg (mazy?) said I live in Wash. state where it rains. but in Sept to
Oct if you sit in early morning sun for 20 min 2 to 3 times a week, you
have stored enough for 3-4 months, this info is also from the gov. web site

One of the problems with this (and most people/sites who think they know
Vit D), is that *we don't make Vitamin D from sunshine.*

Our body takes cholesterol (from diet) and converts it with sun - so anyone
on a low fat (government recommended) diet is going to be deficient.
