You may want to try some hot castor oil packs.

Re: CS>ot: Baker's Cyst

2015-09-28 Thread Diane Mackey
I've had two that went away on their own, but I was taking lecithin and
astraxanthin at the time, so I can't say for sure they helped, but my cysts
didn't last more than three days. Poor girl, those cysts are very painful
and hurt terribly when they break. I would try a hot, wet, cloth with
baking soda on it to hold it against the cyst. Wish I could be more
helpful.

Re: CS>ot: Baker's Cyst

2015-09-28 Thread Brenda Delozier
A Baker's Cyst is usually present if the knee is arthritic and or inflamed. If
the knee is relatively warm to touch, cold packs in front and behind the knee
are probably the most effective thing. Put a thin towel against your skin, or
just wear pants. Place the bag of ice, frozen peas or corn, or gel cold pack
surrounding the knee. Elevating the knee above the heart is also helpful for
intervals with the cold packs. If it helps the pain and or softens the Baker's
Cyst, then the cold can be applied several times a day. You want to feel first
cold, then burning, then aching, then numb for it to be most effective.

DMSO, arnica are a few other ideas. Cold packs may be most effective, though.
