Greetings folks,

I've started to see messages bouncing to me from people who are using
something called QuikCop. The program requires people who want to send
the user a message to reply to a message sent by the program to confirm
the mail is coming from a real person rather than a virus or spammer.

This is a general warning: If you want to set up one of these type of
filters you *must* learn how to whitelist the addresses of any mailing
lists you are on. The responsibility for this is *YOURS*.

Most list owners will not respond to these inquiries, and will in fact
either ignore you or boot you from their lists. They usually have too
big of a workload already without adding this.

At this time I am not responding to these messages. I will re-evaluate
this stance as conditions change.

Be well,

Mike Devour
