Re: CS> ( Milk is not phony ) Raw Milk Diet/Treatment

2008-02-10 Thread Ode Coyote

 Consider "why" they think that.
Exceptions to rules don't count.
They pretty much have to except themselves in spite of the rules and
generally can with some effort and a bit of risk.

Risk is proportional to the noise it makes.
"Drug dealers" who are noisy are the ones in jail, but there's plenty of
those drugs around.

Smugglers will never be extinct.
DMSO is not "impossible" to obtain.
It's actually quite likely to make it through the mail...sniffer dogs
aren't looking for it.

I doubt you'll lose more than one in ten bottles or that any agents will
appear at your door.

The bigger the feet, the wider the cracks those feet span.
Stay small, be quiet and do what you want to...unnoticed.

RE: CS> ( Milk is not phony ) Raw Milk Diet/Treatment

2008-02-09 Thread Silvia Messmer
In the certain states in the USA where raw milk is illegal there are often
milk/cow share programs where you "buy" a share of a cow and get some of the
milk produced by that cow. Crafty way to get around the law. You would
have to do a lot of asking and searching around to find these cow share
programs. Any way to get real milk. I feel luck I can buy raw cow and goat
milk locally, but it is expensive. $6.99 a half gallon for goat and $8.99
for cow. Raw grass fed milk is the best for you.

Very interesting, Wayne. Lots of references to this on the web.

I can throw something in here. When my mother was a teenager
(pre-1920s) she had a stomach ulcer and anaemia. She went to stay with her
grandmother in Nebo, near Llanrwst, Denbighshire, up in the hills. Doctor's
orders were that she should be given the milk from one particular cow only
(not mixed or several). She got better.

Thankyou and amen.

my mom was underweight as a child, and her family had to buy milk from
a jersey cow, luckily there was a family in town that had one. She
liked it just fine, but she didn't really gain much weight. The doc was
satisfied, though, since he knew she was getting the best nutrition
available.

One of the things I couldn't quite fathom in North Wales was seeing milk
bottles left at the farm gate - the farmers were BUYING milk off the milkman.
I thought at the time it was just convenience - never thought there might be
more to it. My uncle and aunt had Jersey cows, and she used to make wonderful
butter. No more. It became impossible to buy new gaskets for the beautiful old

There used to be refreshing, tart buttermilk left over from the churning to
drink, make into pancakes, or pour over hot potatoes with pepper and salt

Progress to what, exactly?

Re: CS> ( Milk is not phony ) Raw Milk Diet/Treatment

2008-02-09 Thread Del
I would like to add my two or so cents to this one.
I have been very fortunate to locate a local source of raw milk.
I started drinking only raw milk about three months ago.
In that time I have seen (and felt) the most dramatic improvement in my overall
health and well being since I discovered CS.
I suspect there are two components to this. I have always consumed a lot of
milk (over a gallon a week on average) and I suspect that just the elimination
of commercial milk has a lot to do with my improvement. I have never been
lactose intolerant, but I had a number of low level problems such as upper
respiratory irritation and intestinal problems that I never blamed on
commercial milk, but which I now believe were related to commercial milk
consumption. Secondly, I believe that consuming a like amount of healthy, raw
milk has turned what was a negative for my health into a positive. Raw milk
from grass fed cows is a tremendously potent health food with many positive
benefits. If you want to know more about this, most of it is covered in this
excerpt from the DVD "The Whole Truth About Milk".

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHcyAH0rOPE

As another footnote, my wife has been lactose intolerant all of her life, but
she is now drinking raw milk without any problem. We are also beginning to
make raw milk kefir (just consumed our first batch) and I am planning to make
raw milk yogurt. I anticipate even more health benefits from all of this in
the future.
