Re: CSNeed help in dosing my dog
Julie, Hopefully you make your own CS. Definately use it orally topically on Dozer. Give him 3-4 ccs. orally 2 x daily. I recommend that you not let vet give him antibiotics except in life or death situation. You will see an improvement in staph fungus in a few days after applying CS to the areas at least twice a day. CS will also build up his immune system and should eventually undo the damage done by the antibiotics. He is on a raw diet with numerous supplements to boost his immune system. I got him at 6 months of age, he had all his vaccines except rabies at that time. I took him for his first vet visit the next day, he had a staph skin infection on his neck, the vet put him on antibiotics and gave him a rabies vaccine. Ever since he has continued to have patches of hair loss with red dry skin on his neck and upper chest with few small spots on his front leg. It does not itch him at all. My vet has given him antibiotics 2 or 3 times for this and antifungal shampoo and spray. He sent a hair sample to a lab for fungal analysis which was negative, he scraped for mites and that was negative. He finally said young dogs can have skin problems which they outgrow. Dozer has never had fleas and is an indoor dog. He also has very bad yeast problems in all his wrinkles and his ears. I have learned a lot since this all started about vaccines and wish I had known all this before. I have had a few people suggest vaccinosis and homeopathic treatment. I feel like I have tried everything I can think of and just don't know where to go from here. I apologize to everyone for posting my dog problems, this is probably not appropriate on this list. I want to thank everyone for all their help and suggestions in treating my Dozer with cs. I am very grateful and hopefully this will be the answer to my prayers. Again, thank you. CSNeed help in dosing my dog
I just made my first batch of cs with my new Ole Bob and it was so easy, I am thrilled with the results. My question is: I have a 50 pound bulldog that has terrible skin problems my vet has been unable to diagnose or cure. I am praying cs will be the answer for us. Should I use this orally or topically or both? How much should I give him and how often? Judy in NY -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver. Re: CSNeed help in dosing my dog
Hi Judy in NY ~ How old is this bulldog? What do you feed him? Do you vaccinate regularly? Your vet has been unable to diagnose or cure your dogs skin problem? That's not right. Obviously, if his skin problem is bacterial, fungal, or viral in nature, applying CS topically should help. Bottom line is skin problems, unless from external allergies or irritants, are most often showing something is wrong on the inside of the dog or human. Diet and lack of vaccines are often permanent cures to skin problems. Is he bothered by fleas or mites? Is his condition mainly on his stomach, limbs, ears? Is he oozing or have scabs and/or constantly itching? Re: CSNeed help in dosing my dog
I would try both, and if it doesn't work, try mixing the CS with Aloe Vera for the topical. Should I use this orally or topically or both? How much should I give him and how often? When there are sick animals around here (usually strays, as our animals seem to remain healthy), I'll give them pure CS to drink -- usually around 8 ppm. Usually the water is somewhat under 1 ppm for the animals. The sick animals have always become healthy. One stray cat was really sick, hair falling out, sores all over her body and severe diarrhea. The diarrhea disappeared in about 2 days, the hair wasn't falling out a week later, and the sores were healed in about 1 month. A raccoon came by that appeared to have distemper. No bowel control, poor muscular control (or was dizzy so moving appeared to be uncoordinated), passing out for 10-15 minutes at a time, etc. Within one week on 8 ppm CS, all of the symptoms disappeared. He stuck around for a few months until I finally cut off his free food. -- Dean -- from (almost) Des Moines -- KB0ZDF -- The silver-list is a moderated forum for discussion of colloidal silver.
