Re: CSStrawberry Birthmark Query
My daughter was born with one (not a premie) on her back. It was small, and disappeared on it's own over time. Yours sounds different since there are two and one is growing. Back then, the doctor just said it was no big deal, not unusual, and would most likely disappear over time. Some of these though are really big, so each situation is different. I guess we were fortunate and it was never a big deal. Best of luck. --- On Fri, 2/10/12, Jane MacRoss highfie...@internode.on.net wrote: From: Jane MacRoss highfie...@internode.on.net Subject: CSStrawberry Birthmark Query To: silver-list@eskimo.com Date: Friday, February 10, 2012, 2:52 AM Strawberry birthmark - on a premature baby now 8 months old - this phenomenon is apparently more likely on premmies, although it resembles a bowel protrusion, it is a birthmark, there is another one adjacent which is also growing, but which is internal. Does anyone know of natural treatment for this? The Medical Profession offers Propanolol - for an 8 month old child! Re: CSStrawberry Birthmark Query
I don't know how to help, but I will say that when I was a child there was a girl in town that had a huge strawberry mark on her face. It covered all one side of her face, from under her eye to her chin. And there must have been something inside the face too, as that side was more puffy looking than her other side. She had this all her life, until she became an adult. One day I ran into her on the street and didn't recognize her because she'd had the mark removed. It also made that side go back to normal so they must have taken the inside growth out too. Perhaps surgery is the best way. I know that lady, as a child, went through a lot of teasing from other kids. Samala, Renee

I believe I have read that these can sometimes be removed with a laser, similar to how they remove a tattoo. My wife has one on her arm exactly the same place her mother spilled hot water on her arm and burned it when she was pregnant. A case of spina bifida was cured with liposomal colostrum. If it is some kind of premature birth defect and more development is needed, that might help.
