Thanks for the mail-order tip.   Tryptophan is fine for insomnia, 
though I now prefer melatonin.Also, good night milk  has a lot of 
tryptophan (or the precursor,  I forget),  so I can get by with a large 
glass of milk many times.   Still, good to know the stuff is not 
completely restricted to us.

I was re-reading Rob Faigin's excellent book Natural Hormonal 
Enhancement yesterday, and noted his claim that shortly after 
tryptophan was taken off the market -- because of one toxic batch from 
Japan -- the product was made into a prescription-only drug for 
insomnia and tension.


I had not known about the prescription scam.   It was evidently done 
very, very quietly.   The result is that a safe, inexpensive 
nutraceutical is now a safe, expensive prescription drug.


Very convenient indeed.It is not hard to imagine something similar 
happening with CS.

Stephen Barret's henchmen, as well I couldn't find much on his credentials

Sounds to me like Colloidal Silver must be making inroads and they fear
anything that will take money from their pockets!  No matter that CS is
cheaper, safer and works without side effects; it is all about money!
