RE: CSWood Bees

2006-03-17 Thread Ode Coyote

I don't like killing those bees.
 I like those bees.
Unfortunately, they like eating my roof when there 6 million acres of
forest all around it and they won't listen to reason.
All they have to do to avoid the 'racket' is avoid my rafters and go
drill holes some of those other megatons of stuff that's right there
waiting for them to do so.

 I'd spank an arsonist too.
Go pick up some of that wood that's all over the place and stop building
campfires out of house pieces, OK?

Gosh, I guess I'll have to go join the termite preservation society now.

Maybe someday they will find a use for those critters like they have for
another
species of bees and wasps. They are training them to find drugs. and
explosives.

Re: CSWood Bees

2006-03-14 Thread Charles Sutton
They were making honeycombs out of my rafters too. I was told by clerk at Home
Depot to use WD-40 spray on the rafters and in their holes. I did. They
left!!

Ours seem to like the rafters too. I don't know when these things propogate,
but between last spring and this spring, we have had the house and garage
resided with boxed in eaves and soffits, and new metal roofs. If the bad-bees
laid eggs last year that would hatch this year, those new-bees are gonna be
reel frustrated -- and contained. This won't do a thing to help the garden
shed, the tractor shed or the horse barn, but I'll feel a little bit better
anyway. MA
