Sol, Traditional Chinese Medicine, in fact, insists on a
"differential diagnosis". To achieve a correct diagnosis and
prescription depends upon the uniqueness of the
presentation i.e., the strength (condition) of the pathogen
and the strength (condition) of the individual as just two
concerns of many. TCM is certainly not one size fits all.
The alkaline/acid differernation is viewed more precisely as
a tendency towards yang / yin.

Distilled water, is not dependable upon one individual
metabolic type.
rather viewed as one side in a many sided equation.

The value of distilled water for me is that it is the only
clearly defined variable in the equation. And water is in
every equation. The individual can be viewed as best they
can be it metabolic, acid, alkaline, yin or yang, or a big
soup.

water by itself may be the cure or the problem
or tweaked by
CS
lemons
herbs or drugs.
always viewed case by case.

Whether any substance or food or vitamin or mineral is
alkalinizing or
acidifying depends on the metabolic type of the individual
ingesting the
substance.

There is no "one size fits all" recipe for bringing a body
into proper
pH balance. Just like there is no one size fits all best
diet or
supplement regimen. This the problem with alternative
medicine as well
as with conventional medicine. Both rely on one size fits
all diagnsois
and treatment.
