Re: CS>CS by the gallon

Jim,

Why do you store CS in light tight bottles. I have samples sitting in a
south window for two years in 2 liter cola bottles and there has been no
change.

That light tight bottle "crap" started about 6 years ago when most of the CS
made was particulate, which will fall out of suspension due to light or
cold. An CS worthy of the name is immune to both

Re: CS>CS by the gallon

I read a lot about using glass vessels to make CS. My theory is since
DW comes in plastic gallon bottles, what's wrong with making CS in those
same bottles?

I simply put 3 holes in the lid, the center hole is for the aerator tube
and the outside holes for the anode and cathode. I put a plastic piece
about 1/2 way up the silver rods to keep them separated by about 1 inch
inside the DW. Put the alligator clips on and I'm ready to go. Of
course I store it in light tight jars.

Any opinions on this?

Jim
