You can find the patent and learn what is so special, or not, about it.

On this page, the researcher has a paragraph about the N-acetylcarnosine
which is Greek to me:

http://www.antiaging-systems.com/extract/nacpurity.htm

Then he says about it:

Dr. Babizhayev: "No, that form is not commonly available, and
the information is kept proprietary. The specific N-acetylcarnosine in
question, is manufactured by our Japanese partner under a cGMP specific
know-how process. Therefore, this material is currently only available
from one source, which is Innovative Vision Products, the patent
holders."

But I think that interview was probably from a few years ago.

Brite Eyes III has got the same exact ingredients
as Can C. I checked it out before I bought it.
That old saw about "Ours is the only and best" is
a just a sales gimmick to scare you away from
other products. Reminds me of all the claims made
about CS on the web. N acetylcarnosine is N
acetylcarnosine, and as far as I know it has one
molecular structure. I'm sure if I'm not correct
someone will say something:) If Can C's NAC has a
different structure then it's not really NAC. And
shouldn't be labeled as NAC. That would get them
into hot water with the feds pretty quick, as
closely as they watch the alternative health
folks, ready to pounce on anything that's
misrepresented in ingredients.

I try to order from the ones who developed a supplement, such as with
Myristin CMO, but this Can-C is around $40 and I could get the Life
Extension Brite Eyes for around $23 (as a member).

Re: CS>NAC Eye Drops

2009-12-17 Thread Pat
I believe they're the same, unless NAC can be made differently. A few months
ago I'd sent an email to Life Extension and they replied, "Brite Eyes III is 1%
N-acetyl-carnosine, which is the active ingredient for fighting cataracts."
