Re: CS>Tens Unit

Bob;
I have a TENS unit. I love it. It has two dials (rotary switches) to
control function and wave form. I choose settings that seem to cause
the hurting muscles to"wear themselves out" and relax. I also found a
setting that masks pain, then I increase the amplitude controls (on top
of the unit) upward until the pain is masked enough to sleep. I wont be
without one.

Bob

I have a Tens Unit, not sure it is the same as your wife's but it is fantastic
for many things. I get a lot of headaches and use it on my shoulders and it
eases the pain. I also have a roller that can be attached and used on the neck
it tightens the neck muscles and by doing that helps to eliminate the excess
wrinkles and skin. I also use it on sore muscles.

Tens units are used for temporary muscular pain relief.

Paula,

A tens unit is simply a 555 timer set to run at about 10 hertz with a square
wave of about 7 volts +/-. It would make CS but it would require a relative
long time.

I built one but have never used it for glaucoma.

I think you may have problems obtaining the correct polarity/frequency.

A zapper/blood electrification device can be run two ways, and I am not sure
a tens unit can do it.

30 Khz unipolar or
100 hz bipolar

Also the wave should be square with as sharp of a rise time and fall time as
possible.
