  The difinitive answer is that all CS, no matter what color or how it's
made, contains enough small enough particles and ions to work.
 But, the deeper the color, the higher percentage of larger color producing
particles that may not be small enough to penetrate.
 Just because a batch of CS has a particular color or depth of color
doesn't mean that ALL the particles are of that size or that there are no
ions.
 What doesn't get in, goes through...see?
