Right. It's not.
And it only works under Windows. So my weapon of choice it xterm.


But for most people, something like Putty works well enough.


Rather recently I found the "Tera Term Project Page" [1] by chance:

TeraTerm also works. Same deal. If you are picky, then there are a 
couple of issues, but for most people it works well enough.

Tera Term has been my emulator of choice for at least the past 17 years. 
I much prefer it to PuTTY.
