If the RTP is early media, then it's possible to redirect with 3xx after
RTP is established. But if the call must be redirected after it becomes
confirmed, you have to use REFER, or perhaps you can get the new
endpoint to send an INVITE-with-Replaces.

Anand -

RFCs supported by my SIP stack - 3161, 3261, 3262, 3264, 5009, 3311, 3325,
3960, 4244, 4240, 4566.

Unfortunately, RFC 5359 is not there in the list :(.

Is there any other way to redirect the call?

Without REFER, I think your only option is to remain in the call, as a
B2BUA between the new party and the remaining old party.

Hey Mayank,

What if you use 3xx—Redirection Responses for that matter?

Hi

I want to redirect a SIP call (similar to RLT in ISUP) but my SIP stack
doesn't support REFER method. Is there any other way (other than REFER) to
re-direct the call in SIP?

Please provide your inputs.
