Re: [sipx-users] Cisco Hold/Resume

2012-08-13 Thread Ly Tran
The cdrom only has the 4.4.0-287, would like the files up til this last update
of 0-418. Looks like a reinstall of 4.2 is in my future. What a bummer. I'm
turning off all updates after rollback. There doesn't seem to be any reasons
for upgrading to newer versions of sipX until Cisco phones are out of the
picture.

Re-reading the original post and noticed you're using Cisco 7940s/7960s which
are different than modified templates so your phones should not be affected by
the commit I mentioned. Joegen could provide some further insights about the

[sipx-users] Adding more Sip Proxy Fail replication

2012-08-13 Thread Martin Rodriguez
Hi:

I have problem add more Sip Proxy. I'm adding a fifth secondary proxy and
fail data replication. Seeking information and encounter problems in older
versions, did not update the file /etc/sipxpbx/registrar-config, in this
file there is a parameter SIP_REGISTRAR_SYNC_WITH. The new server isn't in
the list.

Apply the changes after the system begins to fail and lose the records. My
version is sipXecs (4.4.0- 2012-07-09EDT12:40:36 ip-10-72-43-110).

Any have idea?

For us the removal of the "classic ACD" has been a real show stopper for
our clients in regards to 4.6.
Right now we are telling our clients we will not be moving any ACD clients
to 4.6. Rather we are looking to move them to alternative ACD platform.

We have some very heavy ACD clients and the new features of OpenACD don't
fit the use pattern and unfortunately leave too much to be desired.

Did you do a backup of your configuration before the yum upgrade ?

If so, boot a 4.2 .1 cd on a brand new piece of hardware.

Restore your configuration and voicemail. Look at the website for the 4.2 .1
repo file, Upgrade to latest 4.2 .1.

Actually I decompiled both sipxivr and sipxcommons from latest rpms
and both looks inline, having only

public Localization(String bundleName, String localeString,
FreeSwitchConfigurationInterface config,
FreeSwitchEventSocketInterface fses)

constructor. The error you hit:

java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:

Lorg/sipfoundry/commons/freeswitch/FreeSwitchConfigurationInterface;

indicates usage of the old one from sipxivr, I know you checked but
still looks like the old ivr jar used with newest sipxcommons jar

Re: [sipx-users] Cisco Hold/Resume

2012-08-13 Thread Michael Scheidell
Did you do a backup of your configuration before the yum upgrade ?

If so, boot a 4.2 .1 cd on a brand new piece of hardware.

Restore your configuration and voicemail. Look at the website for the 4.2 .1
repo file,
Upgrade to latest 4.2 .1.

Correct, 4.4.0 broke it.

And it has nothing to do with obsolete 0.0 .0 .0 hold. Newer versions of the
cisco firmware don't use that anymore.. haven't, actually for several years.

Re: [sipx-users] Question/issue regarding queues and extensions (ACD)

2012-08-13 Thread Matt White
Welcome!

Post a sipx-trace for us to look at.

First, make sure the Proxy and bridge logs are set at info and let the service
restart.

>From command line rotate the logs
logrotate -f /etc/logrotate.d/sipxchange

Then make a test call.
then from the command prompt use the following command.
 sipx-trace -a all-components -o trace.xml 717234

replace the last number with the number of the caller that called in. Its best
to use the call-id rather than the phone number but thats more work.

Then post the trace.xml for us to look at. It should provide a good first step.

Hey folks,

New user here and could use some sage advice.

Testing out a new install, Sipx 4.4, and as best I can tell, we have
everything configured correctly, agents can log into queues, calls come
in fine through our gateway - Mediant 1000 - as well as outbound but
when a call gets routed to an ACD queue via the autoattendant, it simply
gets dropped/disconnected.

Example:

Support queue. Line = 8300.
Autoattendant 'operator' is set to route calls to extension 8300 upon
pressing '2'.
Dial in and 'operator' answers correctly with the right audio file, I
press '2', get the 'please wait while I transfer your call', and then
the line is dropped.

When I check the cdr, it shows the attempt to route it to the right
extension, but it has a 'failed' as the outcome.

Screen shots of the actual configs are available, I just wasn't sure
what policy on the list is about attachments coming along unannounced.

Any advice greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance!

[sipx-users] Blind Transfer gos to voicemail

2012-08-13 Thread Ken Ridley
I have polycom 501 phones connected to sipx 4.0
All of the phones, are set up to forward to cell phones after 12 seconds, and
ring the cellphone for 60 seconds
Calls are then sent to the cellphone's voicemail

We have discovered that if you blind transfer a call to an extension, instead
of ringing the cell phone, the caller is sent to system voicemail
Attended transfers work fine

Is there a setting that I can modify to fix this

Thanks,

[sipx-users] Linksys SPA8000

I have a fully updated, iso installed, sipxecs 4.4 system, and I'm trying use a
Linksys SPA8000 with it. So far, tftp provisioning is working great, and lines
1-2 are working. However, lines 3-8 are not. Apparently, lines 3-8 are NAT'd
internally to the SPA8000…? I'm hoping someone has a quick fix/guidance based
on experience. If not, I'll start posting packet captures, and hopefully we
can figure out what's going on. Thanks.

Re: [sipx-users] JAIN-SIP Pointers

2012-08-13 Thread Matt White
Here is what i see on a 4.4 system:

Openfire:
/opt/openfire/plugins/kraken-1.1.2/lib/jainsipapi.jar
/opt/openfire/plugins/kraken-1.1.2/lib/jainsipri.jar
/opt/openfire/plugins/sipx-openfire-presence/lib/jain-sip-sdp.jar

Sipxcommons:
/usr/share/java/sipXecs/sipXcommons/jain-sip-sdp.jar

Does sipxbridge only use the jain-sip-sdp.jar from sipxcommons? I see the
source for jain-sip has the following:
jain-sip-api-1.2.jar
jain-sip-api-1.2-src.jar
jain-sip-ri-1.2.2014.jar
jain-sip-sdp-1.2.2014.jar
jain-sip-src-1.2.2014.jar
jain-sip-src-1.2.2014.tar.gz
jain-sip-tck-1.2.2014.jar
jain-sip-unit-test-1.2.2014.jar

So I guess the question is, do i need to I build jain-sip-src-1.2.2014.tar.gz
(if so, where does sipx use this) or can i drop jain-sip-sdp jar file into
sipXcommons?

I can build sipXcommons using the jain-sip-sdp-1.2.2014.jar as well but it
looks like sipXcommons just packages the jar file as is.

4.4 or 4.6?
if it were me, i'd test compile first, make you get that far. Then
replace the jain sip jar on a test system and see if problem goes
away.

[sipx-users] JAIN-SIP Pointers

2012-08-13 Thread Matt White
Does anybody have a link to download the latest JAIN-SIP w/ instructions for
packaging it for SIPX?

I'm still banging my head against an issue detailed in my thread titled
"sipxbridge logs at trace level" back in June.

The issue seems to be in how sipxbridge is processing the response and I'd like
to test a new JAIN-SIP jar file as suggested by Ranga in an unrelated recent
thread.

but I'm not finding much info. This link shows the latest build from 2009:
http://download.java.net/communications/jain-sip/nightly/

If anyone has a good link and tips, that would be great

-Matt

Workaround:
  yum install epel-release
  yum install libev

Bug:
When you install via ISO, there's another bug we need to fix. We
don't install epel-release which gives you access to libev.

Thanks Joegen

That was the first thing I tried.

libev is not in the repository.

Douglas has since reported that it is awaiting another bug
fix, so I will wait and try again over the next few days.

Thanks for the quick response.

George already fixed this, but we couldn't get a new build out because
we ran into the hiredis build issue we're still trying to fix.

[sipx-users] SipXecs 4.6 latest build dependency error

2012-08-13 Thread Mark Dutton

Not sure if this should go in the tracker, but when I run a
yum update I get this at the end of the dependency list.

--> Processing Dependency: libev.so.4()(64bit) for package:
sipxsqa-server-4.6.0-336.g2f2d8.x86_64
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
Error: Package: sipxsqa-server-4.6.0-336.g2f2d8.x86_64
(sipXecs)
   Requires: libev.so.4()(64bit)
You could try using --skip-broken to work around the
problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

I am using the Centos based ISO for 4.6. Last update was
about a week ago.

I tried a yum clean, but no change. rpmfind does show that
there is a libev.so, but not for Centos.
