[Slackbuilds-users] Previous version of Thunderbird

2023-01-24 Thread Luveh Keraph
This is not really a Slackbuilds question, but maybe somebody here can help.

I upgraded the mozilla-thunderbird package recently from version 102.4.1 to
the latest, 102.7.0. This new version seems to have broken OAuth
authentication support against an Outlook server: I have a laptop in which
I am still running the 102.4.1 version, and it still works.

Would anybody here know where I can get the Slackware64 15.0 package for
mozilla-thunderbird 102.4.1, so I can replace the 102.7.0 one with it?

[Slackbuilds-users] Explanation regarding reverting python3-mistune to build python-m2r

2023-01-24 Thread isaacyu1

Hi Duncan,

Regarding python3-mistune at 2.0.4 (which caused python-m2r to fail to build):

A few months ago, I uploaded python3-mistune at 2.0.4.
The reason was because I wanted to update jupyter-nbconvert to versions >=
7.0.0 (which required mistune >= 2.0.3).

Previously, there was only 1 package named 'mistune' at SlackBuilds.org.
Yth was the maintainer of mistune.
I initially requested taking over mistune and updating it to 2.0.4 (and for
me to upload mistune1, a legacy package for python-m2r).
However, Yth requested me to upload a python3-mistune package at 2.0.4.
Yth also renamed mistune to python2-mistune (and kept it at 0.8.4).
In other words, Yth suggested splitting the existing mistune package into
Python 2 and 3 versions, rather than updating mistune and uploading mistune1.

Therefore, since python3-mistune is at 2.0.4, python-m2r does not build in
python 3.
As you have shown, python-m2r requires python3-mistune at 0.8.4 instead.

Would you like me to upload a python3-mistune1 SlackBuild, at 0.8.4?
There is only a python2-mistune at 0.8.4, maintained by Yth.

That being said, if I upload python3-mistune1, it will conflict with my
existing python3-mistune.
Therefore, I have to indicate that both python3-mistune1 and python3-mistune
cannot be installed in the same system at the same time.

- Isaac

Re: [Slackbuilds-users] Anybody else having problems with zoom in 15.0?

2023-01-24 Thread Luveh Keraph
By the way, this is happening under Xfce. I do not use KDE. Besides this
forum, I am also engaging the Xfce people on this.

Re: [Slackbuilds-users] Anybody else having problems with zoom in 15.0?

2023-01-24 Thread Luveh Keraph
Poking around a bit, I noticed that the zoom executable under
/opt/zoom-linux depends on two shared libraries (libcef.so and
libffmpeg.so) that are part of the zoom distribution, but that the zoom
executable can't find. But, perhaps it is the case that you are not
supposed to invoke this executable directly. Indeed, in /opt/zoom-linux as
well there is an executable named ZoomLauncher. When I invoke it from the
command line, the diagnostics that I mentioned above are generated in the X
server log - and that's all: ZoomLauncher returns after one or two seconds,
and nothing else happens. Unfortunately, zoom and ZoomLauncher are
binaries, and they don't print out anything when invoking them with obvious
options, like -h, -? or --help. I am stymied.

[Slackbuilds-users] Anybody else having problems with zoom in 15.0?

2023-01-24 Thread Luveh Keraph
I have not used zoom for a while in 15.0, but I recall it used to work. It
does not seem to for me with the latest upgrade.

When I click on a zoom meeting link that I have received in an email, a new
tab is opened in my browser (Chromium) where there is a button labeled
Launch Meeting. When I click on it I get a popup window asking me whether
xdg-open is to be invoked. When I go ahead, nothing happens. I get not
diagnostics in /var/log/syslog or /var/log/messages, but I get the
following in my X server log:

 (wrapper-2.0:1749): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: 15:11:49.394: instance with
invalid (NULL) class pointer

(wrapper-2.0:1749): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: 15:11:49.394:
g_signal_connect_data: assertion 'G_TYPE_CHECK_INSTANCE (instance)' failed

(wrapper-2.0:1749): libsystray-CRITICAL **: 15:11:49.394:
sn_item_invalidate: assertion 'XFCE_IS_SN_ITEM (item)' failed

Any ideas on what is going on, and how to fix it?
