In the current Slide head and in 2.1M1 this is enabled by default. It will be the default in the first 2.1 beta scheduled next month as well. Re: Problems adding a network place in Win 2000
Hi, I'm having this problem: I created a network place mapped to http://localhost:8080/slide/files and logged as 'alvim' then I tried to upload some files but it didn't succeed So, I deleted the network place and created it again but now logging as 'root' then I tried to upload some files and I had the same error. According to the log shown below, I logged as 'root' and it try to perform the put as 'alvim' http80-Processor11, 23-Jul-2004 10:51:08, root, OPTIONS, 200 OK, 16 ms, /files http80-Processor11, 23-Jul-2004 10:51:09, root, PROPFIND, 207 Multi-Status, 15 ms, /files http80-Processor12, 23-Jul-2004 10:51:10, alvim, PROPFIND, 207 Multi-Status, 16 ms, /files http80-Processor12, 23-Jul-2004 10:51:11, alvim, PROPFIND, 207 Multi-Status, 16 ms, /files/produtos http80-Processor12, 23-Jul-2004 10:51:16, alvim, HEAD, 404 Not Found, 0 ms, /files/produtos/jcpadm.xml http80-Processor10, 23-Jul-2004 10:51:16, alvim, PUT, 403 Forbidden, 16 ms, /files/produtos/jcpadm.xml http80-Processor12, 23-Jul-2004 10:51:16, alvim, PUT, 403 Forbidden, 16 ms, /files/produtos/jcpadm.xml Is that a bug? RE: Problems adding a network place in Win 2000
Hi, Claudio! Try to reboot your machine or just kill the explorer process and start it again. For some weird reason WebFolders caches the first logged in user and continues to supply it even after you recreate a Network place. I wonder if there is a better workaround... Yours sincerely, Andrey. -Original Message- From: Slide Users Mailing List [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, July 23, 2004 10:07 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Problems adding a network place in Win 2000 Hi, I'm having this problem: I created a network place mapped to http://localhost:8080/slide/files and logged as 'alvim' then I tried to upload some files but it didn't succeed So, I deleted the network place and created it again but now logging as 'root' then I tried to upload some files and I had the same error. Re: Problems adding a network place in Win 2000
Slide 2.0 is more compliant to the spec as the display name isn't something that should change on a move. However, Windows and other WebDAV clients as well do not take account of that. If I remember correctly Stefan has contributed a configurable event listener that updates this property on every move. It can be configured in Domain.xml and is switched on by default.
