I can say that im now some one who is running mythtv! Its very nice! Shame the docs leave out some crucial points. And I really need to do hardware encoding! It downloads the TV timetables from ebroadcast.com.au and puts them in its database, which was a reasonable amount of effort on its own. I haven't, however, actually been able to get it to record anything, so it's on the backburner. I may look at it again later, but for now I've gone back to putting an entry in the cron tables each time I want the computer to record something. Is that any clearer? I am at the moment trying to get my channel tunned in correctly. I have the machine collecting the TV time tables.
