If you have a netbook and you don't want to install the full OpenOffice.org, 
there's an Ubuntu package with just openoffice.org-impress. Before I found 
that, I used to upload them to Google Docs and use their viewer and converter.

There is OpenOffice.org Impress, but you would prefer a KDE application?

YES, you could use openoffice.org, default installed on Ubuntu Linux, or you
may download it at your nearest openoffice mirror server.
