[SLUG] mutt displaying base64 encoded emails

2005-09-20 Thread Benno
Hi all,

Recently I seem to be receiving a lot of email that is otherwise
plain text, but ends up being base-64 encoded. Unfortunately mutt
display this without decoding which is a real PITA.

Looking at the headers of these emails, it doesn't actually seem to
bother telling the client that they went and base64 encoded it, and
instead advertise text/plain, utf8. I thought it had to somehow
specify the encoding. Anyhow, has anyone else run in to this, and does
any one know how to get mutt to play nicely?

Cheers,

Benno

mutt *is* playing nicely; it's the sender's MUA that isn't. What
I do is edit the content-type in mutt -- 'v' to view the message
structure, move to the attachment, 'control-e' to edit the
content-type.
