Oh thanks for looking that up. I read the bug thread and it looks like its being attended too as its a problem on Win2000 as well. Im surprised though that the developers expected that extensions would be installed as root. Given that mozilla has just had a potential exploit I'd hope that the Firefox and Moziila programmers are taking the security asepcts of plugins/extensions carefully. If they install in the users home area then damage is minimised if you download a trojan.
