Fred, would you mind to provide more details about this?. I don't see
any reference in the changelog and I am experiencing heavy KVM virtual
disks corruptions when the ZVOL is configured as "sync=disabled". I know
that that configuration is not safe if the host crashes, but it is
supposed to be OK (and fast) if your host is stable. I was transferring
several terabytes for a KVM guest with no VIRTIO support and the
performance difference is huge (like 10x) and if I have a crash during
the process, I can just delete and repeat. But what I was not ready to
see were ZFS corruptions (inside the guest doing the "zfs receive") and,
after a week of testing, I linked it to "sync=disable" and this looks
like a bug.
Since you are commenting something about filesystem corruptions in KVM
guests, would you mind to provide more info?
