Hi all,

when I try run fso-framework it return:

yesterday fso-framework worked well, today after apt-get dist-upgrade the
package is broken.

I have those warnings too. But they seem benign; my GPS is working
just as well as ever.

Segmentation fault

when did you upgrade last?
could be the issue i described a while ago: the new libphone-utils0 made
my frameworkd segfault, too.
version 0.1+git20091220-2 didn't work, downgrading to the one before
(0.1+git20091114-1) seemed to fix that.

I should have increased the version number of libphone-utils, but I
didn't know they changed some internal stuff. I will upload a newer
fso-framework later, which fixes the problem.

why not?
navit only recommends gpsd, it does not depend on it.

Both gpsd and fso-gpsd work with navit on the FR, modulo one workaround
for each of them:

* gpsd
You'll need to power on/off the GPS by hand or via a home-made script.

* fso-gpsd
libgps19 (pulled by navit) conflicts with fso-gpsd. See bug #562611[1].
To workaround this bug:
 - edit /var/lib/dpkg/status
 - go to the line
Package: libgps19
 - a few lines below, remove the line
Conflicts: fso-gpsd
 This may not be enough with later gpsd releases.

Thanks,

_g

"om gps power 1" will do, no need to use home-made scripts anymore.
