[debian] ssh timing out

2010-09-10 Thread Jeffrey Ratcliffe
After some frustration with SHR-T and SHR-U, and hearing that FSO and
Illume2 should be working on Debian, I booted into my 2-year-old
Debian installation.

$ ssh localhost

on the phone works. But ssh from the host gives

ssh: connect to host 192.168.0.202 port 22: Connection timed out

Any ideas before I give up and reinstall?

Regards

Jeff

Thanks. That made me realise that the host interfaces was still set up
for SHR on eth1 and Debian uses usb0.

I then

# apt-get install phoneui-apps

and spent a while getting the rest of the packages upgraded. My
.xsession now has just

#!/bin/sh
enlightenment_start

I've set the theme to Illume (how do I get Illume2?).

1. The resolution seems doubled that of SHR, and makes everything hard to read.

2. Occasionally, the SIM Auth dialog comes up, but doesn't accept OK,
which means that none of the phone apps work.

3. The e keyboard doesn't come up when needed, although literki seems
to work ok.

Any ideas how I can fix these, especially, #2?

Jeff
