[RCSE] Contest Winning Grand Esteem up for grabs

1999-09-15 Thread Darwin

I am posting this for Mike Remus who is not on the list:

Recently built Grand Esteem with 7035 obechi sheeted wings. Includes all
servos: (2) new Airtronics 141's on the flaps, (2) JR 341's on the
ailerons (one is new), and 2 JR 517's in the fuselage. Also includes
1000 mAh receiver pack. Airplane is in perfect condition. First $550
takes it.

Mike won (2) level 5 contests with this airplane right out of the bag.
And that's about all the flight time it has on it.

Sure enough,
I just finished a thin wing sloper, and all I can get here in Seattle is
gentle north, which shuts down virtually all slope possibilities! (The plane
is still making me really happy, but I'd sure like to wring it out in some
actual...

Lift!

P.S. Carefulif you build both (slope and thermal) at once, I'm pretty
sure it just rains like hell.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the inquiries. The models are sold.

I'm going to keep the WC/WR plane as a momento/practice plane. This one
has some emotional attachment, even for me.

I'm working on a short report for you guys. Thanks for all the kind
words!

Somebody in SoCal built an epp a-6 already, I think I saw it once on TV (TLC)
on extreme machines. I posted in hopes that they would speak up.

How come when you finish building a Thermal Duration plane
its to windy or storming for days, so that you can not test
fly and trim. When I build slope rockets its dead calm it
seems forever...I guess I'll have to try building one of
each at the same time so in either case I could fly
something..Jim Stidham

Re: [RCSE] Rudder/aileron mix????

1999-09-15 Thread Oliver Wilson

Adverse yaw is caused by induced drag which is proportional to the square of
the lift coefficient. The slower you go the higher the average lift
coefficient and higher yet the lift coefficient on the down going aileron
side. Therefore, the slower you go the more rudder compensation you need to
overcome the adverse yaw.

Look at the S7012 or the RG15. Both are in the same performance range
as a MH32.
