All you have to do is consult the expert in your own club. Starting from
left to right, JR is up,down, down,up,up.

Futaba is down,up,up,down,down.

It, funny how some people are so eager to reply to a post that they miss the
entire point of the question

[RCSE] Electric scale glide

2000-06-19 Thread Steve Martinez

I am looking for some advise on where to locate a retractable
electric power system to install in a Roedelmodel ASK21, similar to the Graupner

"UP and GO" system I have read about. I've talked to
Hobby Lobby and they do not know if that system is still in
production.
If someone has any experience with this system or something
similar, could you please share with me your opinions on setup/motor prop/
# of cells
required for a 12-15lbs 4-meter ship. Also where can I
purchase is stuff?

Thanks,

Steve

[RCSE] re: About got turnarounds!

2000-06-19 Thread WDimick

Gordy (he's really not on the payroll, honest) is very kind in his comments
regarding my "Ultimate Turnaround". However, his is one of the originals and
some things have changed. The pulley is now Celetex rather than Delrin. The
mass is the same, but Celetex has more "tooth" than Delrin. This causes it to
come up to speed even faster, resulting in even less line wear. The bearing
is now a sealed ball type rather than needle bearings. The bearing is
lifetime lubricated and no maintainece is needed. The side plates are still
pocket milled so that there is no posibility of line snaging. In fact I have
just recently started producing these parts CNC.I have turnarounds in stock
and ready to ship. If you are interested, and to see more detail and pictures
refer to my web site.
