Re: [RCSE] Extraordinary Customer Service
A year or so I ago I ordered something fron Karlton. I promptly recieved it, but it turn out to be the wrong thing. At the time he was in the middle of shipping managers, so this was understandable. He sent my item to me second day air (this prob cost $30 or so). He also appologised for the mistake. The cost of shiping me the item probably cost more than any profit he would have made on it. I also know that he has donated a lot to many events. He is truely one of those people that makes this hobby possible and great. He is how several vendors need to learn to be. Now if he would only appoint me to Team Multiplex. Kristopher RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News. Send "subscribe" and "unsubscribe" requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

[RCSE] Re: Members
RCSE is not associated in any ways with Yahoo. It is supported by Airage Publications (Model Airplane News) and it is an email based service. Several sites out there archive mail lists and several archive RCSE. There may also be some groups created out there with the name RCSE at some other places that are not in any way related. Re: [RCSE] is this thing on?
We had an incident where lots of .net addresses got bounced around new years. A note was sent out to most of those subscribers to resubscribe. As Jon noted, there are plenty of folks who read it via places like egroups. I know since I usually have several messages every day that I have to approve because they are from those pilots who get RCSE that way. RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News. [RCSE] Hollyday Hi-starts
I see that Hollyday has released their new line of complete hi-starts but was rather surprised at the prices. I realize that the going opinion of their rubber is that it's the best but... You can get a Pinnacle L model for $85 while the matching Hollyday 3M hi-start is $120. The Pinnacle is reputed to be a solid performer so is it really worth 30% more to by the Hollyday, especially if you are going to make limited use of the hi-start? Inquisitive minds want to know! If you are going to make "limited use" of a hi-start, why buy a premium, pre-assembled hi-start at all? Just buy the rubber from Rich and assemble the rest of the components on your own. - David [EMAIL PROTECTED] RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News. Re: [RCSE] Hollyday Hi-starts
Honestly, if the rest of the highstart is as good as the rubber it will be worth the price. Consider what a winch costs. Their higstarts are as close to a winch as any highstart will ever be. You probably can assemble a highstart from their rubber cheaper than you can buy one. Of course, it will take time and effort. [RCSE] AMD Scorpio?
Hey guys. Has anyone seen or flown the Scorpio Kit from AMD in Hong Kong? There's an advertisment for it in all the SE modeler mags. They list it for a hundred dollars. There is a US dealer but I'm having trouble getting their contact info. Any comments are welcome and any info on how to get one would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. [RCSE] SE Modeler publishing schedule
Is it me or is it hard to guess when the next Sailplane and Electric Modeler will come out? I never know its out until someone on RCSE mentions errors in it. The website is updated weeks after the latest issue hits the newstands. Anybody know the secret issue release algorithm? Kristopher RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News. Re: [RCSE] Hollyday Hi-starts
How in the heck can it be "as close to a winch"? A parson who is using a high start can only achieve the energy of the Pinnacle, Hollyday Hi-start, or fill in the name to the amount of pull they can sustain prior to release, and with a winch you can continue the force all the way up the line. How is the Hollyday Hi Start better then anything else? Dose it have some mysterious acceleration properties in the rubber? In my opinion the Pinnacle is over priced for what it is, but I own one and I stretch it to the limit of my strength the same way you would stretch a Hollyday Hi-start. Is it worth it? Has anyone done a side by side test?
