Re: [RCSE] Flash - correction
I think I just had the impression of the Dominator in my head. I just got back from a weekend near Auburn CA, took a look at the Flash, and it looks pretty good. No complaints. I'll just do one more followup with my experience with it on the Slope. -Paul glidn wrote: > > Paul, thats not a bad looking plane. [RCSE] Flying Apartment House
Don't knock the "Flying Apartment House". Who else has designed a three deck aircraft. Boeing and Aibus have yet to move beyond two, and even then, Boeing's effort was nothing more than a mezzanine floor. In 1964, the Air Force loaned me to NASA for 4 months to run tests in their wind tunnels. The first weekend I went to the hobby shop in Mountain View and found the 6th issue of a new magazine exclusively for RC models. I promptly searched all the model shops in the area until I found all the earlier issues of RCM. I still have all issues of RCM except for a few that have somehow grown legs and got away. I really need to reorganize my magazine collection but have found that to be impossible. Every time I start, I don't get very far because I spend too much time reading. And you are wrong about the good old days. We didn't have all the modern equipment at extremely low prices so we built a lot of it ourselves. We developed and invented all the things you enjoy today. We might not have had the high performance sailplanes but we had fun with what we had. If we wanted better models, we developed them by the good old fashoned cut and try method. I still enjoy flying my own designs more than what's available elsewhere. Chuck Anderson RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News. Re: [RCSE] Scorpio Falco 2
yes... we have 3 of them bought them at an auction at ebay. they fly very good it light and strong winds. its not very fast but very aerbatic. the workmanship is very good. you will have to add a lot of wt in the nose to be able to balance, because it desing to carry an electric motor on the nose by cutting the nose of., they include the electric convertion instructions but i wouldnt attempt to do it. i think its the best buy arround, arf, fiberglass fuse balsa sheeted wings, ailerons pre hinged etc. it has a full working stab. hope this helps by the way ..we paid 100 bucks each. luis, - Original Message - From: "GRW" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, April 01, 2001 12:58 PM Subject: [RCSE] Scorpio Falco 2 > Has anyone bought, flown one of these? This is not exactly soaring related, just wanted to show off some photo taken by my new digital camera... http://home.hkstar.com/~raywong/tinycar/album.htm I got this r/c toy car 10 years ago, it cost around US$200. it's as big as my thumb, variable speed, variable steering, can be charged by the transmitter, 6 min of play with 3 min of charging.
