[RCSE] Slope soaring sites around El Paso Texas....

2001-04-19 Thread nelsonri

Hi All,

I have a chance to head down to El Paso Texas have a look at an F4U
Corsair under restoration. At the same time, my friend who is involved
with the Corsair is an R/C power flyer who would like to give slope
soaring a try.

As he's twisting my arm (G) I thought I'd see if anyone does any
sloping in and around El Paso??? We don't mind driving a few hours if
necessary of course.. I'm srill trying to convince him Parker
Mountain is only a short drive from El Paso :)

Any help or advice as always mucho appreciated...

Best regards,
Robert

[RCSE] No Hookers

2001-04-19 Thread Harley Michaelis

It seems that virtually all the guys are quite content taping wing panels
on or together. That being the case, it would be impractical to look into
having the "Harley's Hookers" toothed strips produced.

[RCSE] RE: Brookville Saturday

2001-04-19 Thread Mark and Jo Gellart

To all fliers in the area of Brookville Indiana, conditions are looking
pretty good for flying and possible LSF task work at the dam on Saturday.
15-25 mph ssw winds and a slight chance of storms. Below is a link to our
forecasting sitethat we have used in the past for forecasting good times
there. This link is a great link for forecasting on the whole. It looks
like there may be two 8 hour flights tried and who knows what else.

Re: [RCSE] What is a PIF file

2001-04-19 Thread GRW

I haven't been following all the threads about the
"PIF" - Program Interface File; this is a Windows 3.1
and above file that told windows how a program was to
be allocated, i.e. in foreground, background, what
memory allocations, window or fullscreen attributes.
This is I assume the authors way of trying to disguise
this particular file type/virus.

Hope that helps, sorry if it's been explained already.

Re: [RCSE] BEWARE! I didn't sent it!

2001-04-19 Thread GRW

Another tip, set the file type association of VBS-
Visual Basic Script to "Edit" instead of open, this
will eliminate 90% of those files written for the
Outlook user. Simple and free fix, now if anyone
wants to send me a completed DHLG in one piece for the
information I would be greatly apprectiated. Thanks
and good Luck\

Thumbs- as in, use for glider guiding.

Something only to be used in conjunction with at least one, preferably
two other fingers, on the primary(aileron, elevator) stick
At your disgretion, may be used alone on the secondary
stick(flap,rudder)

Bob,

I feel you have forgotten...

Crunchie -(as in, don't try to fly that damn thing when my Zagi is in the air)

Zagi - death from above to all crunchie's.

Moldie - Something that we all want, but those of us with wives will never be able to
justify and if you buy it anyway, guess what you don't get for a long long time.
