[RCSE] Muller Escape feedback?

2001-05-09 Thread Matt Lydon

Any feedback on the Muller Escape, now that it's been around a while, and
the 6 servo wing hubbub has died down? How does it fly?

[RCSE] Astro Flight Servo Tester

2001-05-09 Thread nicholas wisdom

Does anyone own one of these? Tower sells them for 22 bucks, but they have
no info on it. I called them and that didn't get me any further. I never
seem to be home at a time when I can call Astro Flight directly, so I was
wondering if anyone owned one of these, and could describe to me what it
looks like, and just exactly what does it do.

The answer "it tests servos" will not be appreciated :)

Thanks

Re: [RCSE] reciever cases

2001-05-09 Thread Silas Collier

I have a Hitec 555 Rx that came in a used plane without a case. The antenna
came loose and I had a lot of glitching as it bounced around. I sent the Rx
back to Hitec and they soldered a new antenna on. I took it out of the box
when it returned, looked at it wrong, and the antenna fell off again! I
have it ready to go back to Hitec.
If you take the case off, make sure the antenna is secured so the soldered
joint isn't under stress.
My two cents.

What should be taken into account when removing the case of a reciever to
reduce weight? What are the possible problems that can occur when this is
done?

Re: [RCSE] reciever cases

2001-05-09 Thread Scott Wathey

When I remove a rx case usually wrap it in battery heat shrink tube. Some
wrap it in tape but I'm afeared of the residue. And fer sure don't geek out
on any of the adjustable pots, it will ruin things. I have heard about a
foam patch covering sensitive components, (Maybe FMA?) and if you try to
squeeze them into a tight space you get glitches. NO SQUEEZING! Otherwise
knock yourself out, I have been pulling the entrails from rxs for a while
with no ill effects. Just keep the case so you know where everything plugs
in.
YeeHaw n' stuff,
