RE: [RCSE] Covering Obeche over white foam

2006-04-04 Thread Douglas, Brent
Unfortunately, no. I watched on RCGroups for any word, last I saw was
his passport was used to leave the country (Puerto Rico?). His daughter
would post periodically, sounded very - well, you can imagine how
upsetting that must be.

He sold me gear for a scale ship, had a couple long conversations about
flying and scale ships, just seemed like a hell of a nice guy. I hope
this is a middle age crazy thing and that he's living the high life some
where.

Re: [RCSE] NO MAIL?

2006-04-04 Thread William Wingstedt
Hi John,
That's the same thing that happened to me.
Something seems to have happened so that the list
genie no longer communicates with @aol.com. I've sent
about 2 dozen "subscribe" messages which have gotten
no response (a few stray messages have leaked in here,
sorry 'bout that). I've right-clicked and "composed as
plain text" and gone to aol.com, from where e-mail is
sent as plain text all to no avail. I did use a Yahoo
account to subscribe to the list, but that is not my
preference. Also, from the Yahoo account, I sent a
subscribe command, followed by <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> which
instructs the list genie to subscribe that e-mail
address. I got the expected response that informed me
that a verification had been sent to the instructed
address, but never received that message at
[EMAIL PROTECTED], which leads me to think that for some
reason, the list servers mails are bouncing off
aol.com, causing me to get dropped from the list.
Sending a "who" instruction from the yahoo account
verified that my aol address had indeed been dropped.
I don't know what happened, but getting my soaring
social fix has just become a little more
complicated...

[RCSE] Kennedy Composites At the Toledo Show

2006-04-04 Thread mrmaserati
To all Sailplane and Electric Sailplane Mavens:

Barry and Karen are on the road from Texas to Toledo as you read this and will
be returning to Texas on the wednsday after this weekend to take care of the
customers waiting for them to return home.

Plan on stopping at the Kennedy Composites booth at Toledo to look at all of
the standard sailplane items that Karen and Barry have been supplying that you
already expect including Volz servos, Avas, Super Avas, and all molded Graphite
2's.

Barry will have a sale on Blasters and will also show the Photon II. He also
has a new 1.8 m speed 400 F5J electric sailplane.

The new Picolario with GPS and the digital incidence meter that was the center
of attention on this exchange recently will be on display.

Also raffle tickets for a new Supra donated by Barry and Karen to support the
USA F3J team and F3J shirts will be available at the Kennedy Composites booth.
Jack Iafret, Bob Burson and I will be supporting the Kennedy's at their booth.

You'all come on down to Toledo and visit the Kennedy Booth.

[RCSE] deliverability issues to Road Runner

2006-04-04 Thread Jimmy Andrews
I am one of those not receiving RCSE anymore. Mine stopped on 28 Mar at
about 7:30 pm. The security people at Road Runner have spotted the
problem, but I have no idea if they were able to get in touch with the
people running the list. If someone could forward this to the RCSE
admistrator I would appreciate it.

Greetings.

One of our customers reported to us that he is no longer receiving
mail from the soaring@airage.com mailing list. I took the liberty
of subscribing myself to the list in order to learn the IP address
from which the list mails are sent, and I think I've discovered a
possible problem.

The headers indicate that IP address 12.32.211.161 is the one sending
mail for this list:

Received: from List.airage.com ([12.32.211.161])
by security.rr.com (8.13.6/8.13.6) with ESMTP id k34E67WF019557
for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Tue, 4 Apr 2006 10:06:07 -0400 (EDT)

Our inbound mail servers require that any IP address connecting
to them have a reverse DNS (PTR) record that resolves, and the
PTR record for this IP appears to be unresolvable at present. The
authoritative servers are either not responding or returning 'SERVFAIL':

There are some issues with how the mail is being sent. Some anti-spam
