[RCSE] 60" F3J contest at Dayton Sunday

2008-05-28 Thread Ed Franz
Hello all,

This Sunday I am holding a 60" F3J contest at Dayton Ohio. All flights will
be off of mini Hi-Starts, so it's time to bring out that old javelin H/L to
fly again! The contest will be in an F3J rules type MoM format. So dust off
that old H/L, put a hook on it and come join the fun. The contest will start
around 11, I will be there around 9 so that you can trim out your plane on
the Hi-Starts.

[RCSE] AVL question

2008-05-28 Thread David Klein
I know that this is better suited for the X-foil discussion board, but I am
waiting for approval to join for a few days now.

I need to run some negative load factor run cases, inverted looping flight,
negative Cl. AVL does not allow me to input the values into the looping
flight condition. I thought I would try getting around this by building an
inverted aero model, using inverted airfoils, and an inverted tail. It is
not running properly. I will try to rebuild the model, and try again.

Is there an easier way to run negative lift load cases?

Thanks,
David

Re: [RCSE] CG question

According to the plans in my NIB 4M Graupner Discus, the CG is 90 to 96 mm aft
of the LE at the fuse junction.

I would like to add that this NIB 4M Graupner Discus is available for sale or
trade.

Regards, Dave Corven.
