[RCSE] pitcheron/wingeron Hobie Hawk?

2002-05-22 Thread Brian Joder - OUTBOUND Ind.

I heard of someone who has supposedly made a
pitcheron/wingeron Hobie Hawk... maybe somewhere in
the Torrey Pines, CA area?

If anyone has any info on this project (probably about
5-7 years ago!) please email me!

Thanks!

[RCSE] Coroplast flying wing (like Zagi)

2002-04-30 Thread Brian Joder - OUTBOUND Ind.

Hello all,

I recently lost my hard drive and with it a bookmark
to a cool set of plans for a Coroplast flying wing -
looks like a Zagi, but made from 2mm or 3mm Coroplast.

Anyone know what I'm talking about and what site to go
to??

Thanks,

B-man

[RCSE] Coroplast glider box - plans???

2002-03-20 Thread Brian Joder - OUTBOUND Ind.

Hello all,

Someone mentioned plans out there somewhere to make
glider boxes out of Coroplast. Although I am quite
sure I could manage a box myself, I'd like to make a
NICE one!

Anyone know a website where those plans might
reside???

Any info would be helpful! Thanks!

[RCSE] HELP! - TopFlite "Metrick"

2001-12-20 Thread Brian Joder - OUTBOUND Ind.

Hello Anyone,

I'm just back into the r/c soaring stuff after 20 some
years... anyway I just finished my TopFlite Metrick
that had been 95% finished and stored away since 1981.
(I bought this at the time since I could only dream of
owning a Hobie Hawk - I was 17 then!)

I would like to connect with anyone who has any
experience with one of these birds. I built mine with
the spoilers.

I think at the time it was supposed to be a pretty
hi-perf plane... but not to todays standard I'm sure.

In particular if you have anything on what the throw
of the rudder and elevator should be.

Also, What are the flying characteristics?

Anything would be helpful... is there a "vintage"
class I can fly in???!!!

Thanks,

Brian Joder
