[RCSE] Re: Amazing

2004-10-05 Thread Dave Kornberg
Hey-
give CVRC a break.
They're probably still trying to figure out who the top ten finishers really are.
The last score sheet they printed up and posted prior to the last round showed Jim
Sneed in first place by 200 points.
While I'm sure last year's winner is good, I sincerely doubt he really made all those
75 point landings when only a 25
point max landing was available.
Give CVRC another week- they'll eventually figure it all out.
Just like they did last year.

CVRC's webpage has been down for over 48 hours and the final Fall Soaring
Festival results are still to be posted anywhere.

Sorry, but this is simple stuff. How can it take so long??

I run 6 scale aerobatics contest each year and can get results up the same
day. It is NOT rocket science,.

Sorry for the rant, just frustrated.
I sucked, I just want to know how badly!!! Call it a sick fascination.

[RCSE] Re: criss cross paint scheme at SWC

2004-04-30 Thread Dave Kornberg
Garland-
The owner of that plane would be Jason George.
Or, as I should say, ex-plane.
He was the one who dances with trees, and ended up totaling
it at the SWSC.
I believe the paint scheme is laid up in the mold during
assembly.
Not sure if Jason is listening on this list or not.
Here's a pic of his sad "Walk of Shame" coming back with the
trashed plane...

I've seen this model (Sage product?) for a few years at the
Southwest
Classic in Phoenix each February. I'd like to know the
striping paint type
and application method (paint brush?). I'm about to put
striping on Genie
wing tips and I want that same "paint brush" look.

Would the owner of this model please contact me or respond
to the list.
Maybe there are others that would like to know your method.

Thanks,

[RCSE] See this amazing slope!

2001-04-15 Thread Dave Kornberg

OOO.
Gliders and paragliding!
Now you're talking!
A week ago I went to the Fresno Classic Glider contest,
and just yesterday I spent the day at Monterey paragliding.

For those who are interested, I've got pictures of both located on my website at:
