The Great Planes one is accurate to a 0.25 of a degree

I've got one. Well made, not terribly expensive, easy to use. I am
satisfied with it and would recommend it. It sure helps to get that
initial decalage set before the first flight/toss. Will not work with
 V-Tail planes.

 Cheers,

 Bill

[RCSE] Batteries And Such

2002-01-24 Thread David Shanks

Hello all, I'm looking for a good Internet source for batteries and related
hardware, such as shrink wrap, wires, connectors etc. Is there a one stop
shopping site for this type of product? I'm also looking for a hammerhead
soldering tip for soldering batteries end to end. Thanks!

Re: [RCSE] Glue in or Mount Wing Servos

2002-01-13 Thread David Shanks

Who is Chris, and where do I find these servo cans? Can they be used in very
shallow wings? Thank you!

... I bought an obechi-sheeted plane a couple of years ago. The previous
owner had glued the servos in with Zapadapagoo (similar to shoe-goo)
and generally botched the installation. The only remedy was to cut the
whole mess out in a big circle and install Chris's servo cans.

[RCSE] Electric Glider For Nephew

2001-11-26 Thread David Shanks

Hi all! I'm looking for a durable electric glider that can stand up to a bit
of abuse (including perhaps, a crash or two) for my twelve year old nephew.
His dad is a modeler and can help him with the basics. I'm hoping there's an
electric foamie glider available, but I haven't found one yet. I think an
aileron/elevator or rudder/elevator system would work fine for him. Have a
great week. Sure is cold here! Dave
