RE: [RCSE] Buying batteries
Cheapbatteries.com -Original Message- From: Dave Brombaugh [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Sunday, May 22, 2005 10:40 AM To: soaring@airage.com Subject: [RCSE] Buying batteries Where do you like to buy your batteries for both the 3M sized planes, but also for DLG's? In my specific instance, I'm looking for a good place to buy 1/3AA cells, where I'll make up the packs myself (two Encores in the building table). I have found a particular cell that I want from batteriesamerica.com (AP-350AAH), and I can get them from there, but I'm curious where you all like to shop for batteries. I'll likely get my next 3M-sized battery pack from the same place, which is why I'm making this into a more general question. Re: [RCSE] Zagi 400 Construction
The idea of 'foamy' is to have some bounce-ability. If you used CF, it would be stiffer until the first crash. Then the CF would break loose from the foam because of the 'give' in the foam. Stick with the strapping tape. It's worked on 100's, maybe 1000's of Zagis. You can put the colored tape on any way you want. It's only there for decoration. Have fun, Zagi's are a RIP! gv From: "Christopher Keller" [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] CC: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [RCSE] Zagi 400 Construction Date: Tue, 11 Jul 2000 08:33:43 -0700 Hi Guys, I just purchased one of your Zagi 400 kits. One of my flying buddies just got one and it looks like its a real blast to fly. I couldn't pass it up. I have a couple of questions: #1 -Can you eliminate the strapping tape and use strips of carbon fiber (.007 thickness) in it's place? Will this affect the structural integrity? #2 -Is the pattern for laying on the covering tape critical to the structural integrity? I would just like to have a different design pattern.
