I don't know about that particular model and if they are in stock, but I
know that both NSP and Hobbyclub carry Volz.

Re: [RCSE] DLG Fin Mount Question

2003-03-15 Thread Pilot Frank
I have PolecatAero's X-terminator and I have only slotted the boom. I trust
this method much more than what you described.
Keep in mind even a little bit of glass and epoxy will probably require lead
in the nose.
Maybe you should email Denny directly, there are pictures on his website
that show both versions:
http://www.polecataero.com/products/xp3/xp3-pics.shtml

He is a nice dude and will probably share his experience with you.

I don't know what you wanted because neither
did I read nor did I reply to your post.

Imagine there are people that don't have a Mac and all they ask for is a
glider oriented Flight Sim

Now go back to your thread ;-)

Re: [RCSE] Servo calculator

2003-03-01 Thread Pilot Frank
The link to it from the main page seems to be gone but the page is still
where it used to be:
http://www.multiplexrc.com/calcservo.htm

The old web site is still accessible at
http://www.multiplexrc.com/home.html, not sure if the 'products' link should
actually link to that page.

Re: [RCSE] Folding props?

2003-02-26 Thread Pilot Frank

I would be VERY careful with that.
If I remember right, a 0.49 has close to 20,000 RPM
and typical folding props are rated at 6-8k RPM.
Maybe there are special ones
available?
Just don't get hurt...

Yes to folding props on .049's.
I've got a buddy that is into 1/2A freeflight and uses them. Not cheap, but
  what is these days.

Re: [RCSE] RE: Best $250 sloper

2003-02-19 Thread Pilot Frank
I just saw NSP has the Sparrow C (with an RG-15) on sale for $230.
http://www.nesail.com/sparrow.html
When I looked for a sloper I had a close look at this one but ended up
buying the Flash 2 because it has flaps and ailerons.

[RCSE] FS: Graupner Winch

I have no more use for a winch that's only been used a couple of times.
Asking price is $250 but I might entertain other offers, please see:

In case you need a turnaround, there is one posted for sale also (not by
me):

[RCSE] FS: New Hitec 555 Rx for Hitec

2002-11-20 Thread Pilot Frank
I have a brand new Hitec 72MHz receiver for sale, never used.
I don't have the receipt anymore otherwise I would return it. I bought it to
use with my Multiplex tx but that won't work.
This rx is for Hitec. It has just come back from Hitec service (I thought
it was broken but MPX tx only works with rx for JR, duh!), despite no
receipt there was no charge, not even shipping.

$55 shipped to your door in ConUS. Check or Money Order or Paypal
(preferred).
If you think this is too much for a brand spanking new 555 make me an offer.

TIA,

Frank

Re: [RCSE] Final SC Squared HLG contest

2002-11-05 Thread Pilot Frank
Does anyone know how many pilots will fly in the sportsman class? Is that
group going to fly with the experts at the same time? I would hate to launch
into anyone's plane who could actually have a word in the outcome of this
year's overall champ..
I got my new aileron wing for my Xterminator all set up and this will be my
first contest. This should be fun, if not for the flying itself then just
for watching the Pros go at it.
The field looks nice, no high grass and less bumps and holes than I remember
from last time in the spring. Well, there is one more hole now after I
launched with my elevator down mix still enabled ;-)
