[RCSE] Long needed break

2002-02-18 Thread Steve Patton

I just wanted to drop a note to let everyone know that PATTON AIRCRAFT
will be shut down for a while, and is for sale.
There are a few other projects around the home-front that I have been
neglecting, due to making PSS kits.

I will only sell PATTON AIRCRAFT to someone who I feel will continue to
produce the line with the same high quality, and service that I believe
has been there for the past 3 1/2 yrs.

My sincere thanks to all our past customers.
Please contact me directly, Serious inquiries only please.
   Thanks,Steve Patton

[RCSE] ISR-Warbird Air Racing (WAR) - Cajon Pass

2001-05-01 Thread Steve Patton

Hi everyone,
Just a reminder that the ISR, WAR, PSS race is this Saturday, at Cajon.
5/5/01

As most of you know ISR is the proud producer of the PSS Festival, where
some of the nicest looking and flying PSS birds are shown and flown. Now
take some of those great looking P-51, ME-109, ZREO's ect. and make them
run through a tight race course three abreast and you have WAR.
You can not put stars bars on a Ninja and call it a P-51. Our goal is
to make this as exciting and fun to watch as it is to fly in.
It will be a safe and relaxed atmosphere where you MUST HAVE FUN
( This is not a combat event )

There will be two flying classes:
60 and under, foamie ( EPP construction ).
60 and under, crunchy ( glass and / or wood construction ).
Every racer will advance to a main event A,B,C, ect. where racers will
fly against Pilots of equal skill level. ( Every one will have a good
chance to win ).

Sign ups start at 11:00 AM.
Wind permitting, Racing will start at 11:45 AM.
Entry Fee is $ 5.00
Directions to the CAJON Site can be found at
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/ISR/main.htm

So charge up your old Warbird and LETS HAVE SOME FUN !!!
Rumor has it, the event will be covered by QFI, so you and your WARBIRD
will have a great chance to be in the pages of one of the best
international RC soaring publications.

 Rolling out,Steve P.

Re: [inlandsloperebels] Re: [RCSE] First EPP Foamie to break 100 MPH ?

2000-06-01 Thread Steve Patton

Please a couple of you are missing the point. I have launched EPP with a bungee many
times also where Im sure the aircraft was doing over 100 mph.
The TA-152 did 107 mph where it counts, on a normal front side slope pass, no bungee,
not DSing.
I don't think this has been done before with a all EPP sloper.

Yesterday at the ISR PSS FESTIVAL the PATTON AIRCRAFT 60" TA-152 was
clocked with a radar gun doing 107 MPH.

We clocked my 36" Avro delta wing at 142mph. at the 1999 SW classic.
I beleive Steve Wilcox's EPP Nemesis was clocked at that speed or higher
too. EPP can go fast and it didn't even start to flutter.
