Byron Blakeslee(2005 F3J team selections CD) and I just got back from visiting Skip Millers shop today. We were very impressed with this guy's inventory! Here is whatwe saw: Victors (Lubos Pazderka models/designer of the Extreme and Fazer. The Victor is his latest design), Fazers, German Eagle, large selection of Starlight 3000's including two piece V-tail and X-tail, Carbon 68 Pike Superiors, Topaz and Topaz L, Sharon 3.7, Space Pro. A large Mueller orderconsisting of Espada R's is being built as this is being written.

Re: [RCSE] Supras done

2006-01-06 Thread TGRESSMAN

I am still 20/15 but the reflexes are starting to go at 59. I have owned and flown most of the F3J birds and just when I think they couldn't get any better the Supra emerges. In the hands of a world class flyer it should do very well at the 2006 Worlds! Tom

Re: [RCSE] Supras done

2006-01-05 Thread TGRESSMAN

Agreed. I have about 4 hours on mine. One of the best launching models I have ever owned. Jim Monaco estimates that my launch is 80-90 degrees. On one ride I took it out from less than 50 ft( 5 degree joiners)to cloud base at 1+mi. out. With a 7-10 mile breeze I easily cruised back in the same air(2 degrees reflex)that a Tsunami had difficulty punching through.

Build quality is high. On a lab analytical scale the outer panels with joiners were within 0.1 gm of each other!

Larry, am I over psyched about this model or is it one of the best we have ever seen?

By the way it lands in a linear manner with no negative traits and the effective rudder gives me excellent directional control on final.

[RCSE] 9303 camber program question

2005-02-23 Thread TGRESSMAN
My soaring buddy and I have had difficulty in setting up camber using the left
side lever. In order to get the ailerons and flaps to move in unison we find
that 150% of down aileron is required. We then use flap rate and flaperon mix.
Are we missing a key step here that would simplify without having to establish
this large aileron down travel? Tom Gressman/RMSA/Denver

Re: [RCSE] 9303 camber program question

2005-02-23 Thread TGRESSMAN

The 150% down required is in travel adjust. The proper amount of up and down is then done with differential. I keep thinking there is an easier way on the 9303, therefore the question posted on the exchange. Tom

Re: [RCSE] 9303 camber program question

2005-02-23 Thread TGRESSMAN

Thanks Mike for the response. We get the travel by going to 150% down on the travel adjust with the ailerons and then using differential to get the proper up and down. We just thought that theremay bean easier way with the 9303. Are you using the left slider to get camber? If so exactly what is your program? We use the above and then go to flap rate followed by flaperon mix. Tom
