[RCSE] Contests format.

2008-01-10 Thread WronRange
It's been a long time since I flew it, but Triathalon seemed like a
challenging event for contests. Anyone still flying that?

Re: [RCSE] RE: What is your favorite tool for building?

2006-01-08 Thread WronRange

My favorite tool for building is a good friend Al Clark. All I have to do is store a plane for him for a few months or years, he then buys it back and builds it. (He builds to near perfection.) Then he will fly it once or twice to check it out,and trim it, then sell back to me for a price that I JUST CANT refuse.

I'm not lsure if he runs on batteries, AC, or how he is powered. But I guarantee he will outperform the Eveready bunny.

[RCSE] Challenger quality

2005-12-07 Thread WronRange
Are there many out there who have undertaken a build of the Challenger by Skybench? I have a friend (very experienced builder) to whom I had sold a new kit and he is complaining about the overall lack of quality in the kit. Fuse longerons extremely roughly cut, spar caps grain runout, sides which are supposed to be 3/16 are 1/4 thick, no noseblock among other things.

This was one of the first kits and wondering if the quality has changed with later production. Anyone have any feedback?

TIA

[RCSE] For sale

2005-08-27 Thread WronRange
I have a rare kit, a Dodgson Windsong, NIB which I would like to sell for a reasonable price. It is listed for 265 plus shipping. Any interest?

It is listed on RCU and RC Groups.

I'm not sure that I understand your complaint and venting of your frustrations against Roy Simpson. It appears that your MO got lost or such. That certainly is not his fault. I find your comments of him disgusting and uncalled for and can assure you that I would not want to have any dealings with you after this sort of display.

[RCSE] Compatibility of radio with plane??

2004-03-08 Thread WronRange
I have a Sapphire which I bought slightly used with 6 servoes. The previous owner had been flying (crashing) it with a Futaba 8U radio so he says. I won't mention Al's name.

My question is: Could I get max performance with either a JR XF622 or an Airtronics Spectra 7 channel radio? Allowing of course that I would be an ACCOMPLISHED PILOT.

Anyone out there have an answer for this please.

TIA,
Ron

AL Clark claims a record of 101.9045.

I don'l know if this is DS or BS.

[RCSE] FS Antares

2002-01-27 Thread WronRange
I have an Antares kit which is NIB. Box not real good shape but contents perfect. I know not a popular kit, but nonetheless a very nice kit if you like built up planes. Some lucky person might talk me into a good deal.
