Hi guys,

If you haven't been to Nashville, you've missed out a bunch of cool RC soaring stuff!

Percy Preist Dam, is just West on hyw 40 (no you don' t need directions, its on the map and exit signs)  Good soaring for South and North with some restriction on the best spot over the grass facing 40 (no you don't need more detail, once you're there, its obvious)  If caught flying there you will be wrestled to the ground by nude park rangers.... who will ultimately bend your TX antenna's tip.  Its a Homeland Security thing, not an offense against God.

Grand Ole Opry Slope!
Right across from the Opry!  Pretty grassy slopes on either side of the homes.  When you get off the Opry Exit turn toward the slopes and then make the first turn that makes common sense to get to the back side.  Each 'flyable' slope has a Cow Gate to climb to get to the slopes.  Again engage common sense, the locations are obvious.  This one needs a fairly TRUE West to work, but lots of thermal ride through.

The PERFECT PLANE for either site?  DAW 126 60" or 2m.  These planes may be the over all best all weather, thermal gobbling slopers I have ever come across. Yes better than 'cranked' planks.

With in an hour and a half in a couple of directions you have access to some of the best thermal pilots of the Mid South, retired but not tired of setting up a winch everyday (Tullahoma right down 24, this one you need instructions for). and in Nashville you can usually pry Stan Koch out of his house for some TD at the local site.

Lots of buzzards down here, so you know if its a good day to soar just by looking up.

For those of you fighting the 'soaring belly', and have considered doing the Adkins life of ribs, chicken, bacon, and steak, contact me off line and I fill you in on my 3 year experience with it....yes its good :-)
